Kim Kardashian nearly spills out of daring Christmas dress as she reveals inspiration behind holiday look

Kim Kardashian turned up the heat in midwinter when she posed up a storm at Kendall Jenner’s house for their family’s Christmas Eve party.

The 45-year-old modeled a plunging silver dress with sparkling black pom poms over the bust, matching the glistening lining at the waist and hem.

Her gown was barely able to contain her ample endowments, which nearly spilled out from over her neckline as she swanned about in front of the Christmas tree.

When she posted photos of the fete, she revealed her ensemble was a vintage 1986 piece by the late Thierry Mugler, whose muse she once was.

The frock was a selection from Mugler’s 1986/1987 collection Hiver Russe – French for Russian Winter – unveiled in March 1986 on a Paris runway.

He brought out Hiver Russe the year after his visit to the Soviet Union, where he met the exalted Moscow designer Slava Zaitsev, aka the ‘Red Dior.’

Kim, a longtime friend of Mugler’s, posted a glowing tribute to him in 2022 after he died of natural causes at home in Vincennes aged 73.

‘I am so honored to have known you, spent time with you and be a muse for you,’ she raved on Instagram. ‘There was so much more for you to show the world and that we had planned to do together, but you already gave us so much.’ 

She appears to have bought her Hiver Russe piece from the appointment-only Los Angeles shop Tab Vintage, which posted in November that it had acquired the gown.

This year’s Kardashian-Jenner Christmas Eve bash was held at the home of Kendall Jenner, who shed light on her plans in an interview earlier this month.

‘Last year, we did a smaller Christmas Eve party, and it was super lovely. Usually, they’re kind of these blowouts for the last, like, since I was born,’ she said. 

‘But we’re doing a smaller one again this year, and I’m really happy about it,’ the supermodel told People. ‘And so it’ll be cozy vibes.’

Members of the family switch off on hosting the bash, and recently Khloe Kardashian revealed they ‘all equally split the cost’ of the endeavor each year.

A fleet of celebrities have been guests at the fete over the years, including Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, Paris Hilton, Elon Musk, Dave Chappelle, John Legend, Tyler The Creator and even Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs before his downfall. 

The annual party goes back to when Kris was a Beverly Hills housewife married to future O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian, the father of her four older children.

Kris hosted the beano every year until her children grew older and acquired so many friends that the guest list swelled to ‘2-300 people,’ at which point the venue began ‘rotating’ between members of the family, she shared on Khloe in Wonderland. 

‘I thought it was so much more fun, and then every time one of you took the reins and did it yourself -‘ Kris began, before Khloe cut her off.

‘I won’t take the reins. I don’t want the reins. I don’t want that many people in my home, and this year I was very proud of you for saving me,’ Khloe told her mother.

Apparently a number of other Kardashian-Jenner homes were unavailable and Khloe’s was suggested, only for Kris to leap in and table Kendall’s as an alternative.

Kris gushed that as her children grow older ‘it’s so exciting to see how you guys interpret your own Christmas Eve and how we can all enjoy each other every year.’
