KIIS FM radio stars Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson will be getting a very surprising new colleague in 2026.
It was revealed at the ARN Upfront26 on Wednesday that Kent ‘Smallzy’ Small, 41, would be joining KIIS’ iHeartRadio team next year after leaving Nova in August.
Smallzy confirmed the exciting news at the Upfronts in Sydney on Wednesday.
‘Yes, I am making the switch to KIIS in 2026! I am so excited to call ARN my new home, from January,’ Smallzy told the crowd.
‘In my short time I have been dealing with them, the vision, strategy, leadership and support has been incredible! So excited to be joining,’ he added, as Kyle and Jackie O came out on stage to congratulate him on the exciting news.
The big news was also announced by none other than English singer Ed Sheeran, who gushed over his ‘old mate’s’ new gig in a video posted to social media.

‘There is a brand new show coming to KIIS in 2026… And the host of the show is… drumroll, please… My old mate, Smallzy!’
He added: ‘Can’t wait to listen to it. Can’t wait to see you again, and congratulations to KIIS as well… for having Smallzy, because he is great!’
The veteran presenter is set to host his own program called The Smallzy Show, which will debut in January 2026.
Also there to congratulate the radio show host via video was Niall Horan of One Direction, who praised Smallzy for being ‘a huge part of my career’.
‘I’ve been going on the radio with Smallzy for 10 plus years,’ Niall began.
‘He’s also championed so many artists and supported so many artists over the years too… So I’m delighted he’s making the big move to join the iHeartRadio family, which is amazing!’ he shared.
Niall finished off the segment, saying: ‘I can’t wait to be back on air & back in Oz, having a laugh… I miss Australia very much.’
Taking to the airwaves in January, The Smallzy Show will be heard over two national timeslots on the KIIS Network.

The radio veteran will be on-air for the 3-4pm early drive, kicking off the afternoon with a fast-paced show filled with pop culture highlights and interviews with some of the biggest stars in the world, courtesy of Smallzy’s many A-lister connections.
He will then jump back on from 7-9pm with a night edition covering what’s trending in the celebrity scape and the social sphere – with a few celebrity chats in-between.
In a statement released via ARN, Smallzy revealed he jumped on the opportunity to be a part of the ‘company’s vision for the future’ and work alongside its big-name radio stars.
‘I’m excited the news is finally out… I’ve made the switch to KIIS from 2026!’ he shared.
‘It was a big YES when I heard the company’s vision for the future and the part I get to play in it on the KIIS Network alongside Kyle & Jackie O.’
He went on: ‘If the enthusiasm and support I’ve received before even starting is anything to go by, I know the switch to KIIS is the best career decision I’ve made.
‘I can’t wait to get back on air, meet the loyal KIIS listeners, and make plenty of new ones.’
The news comes after Smallzy was snapped with Kyle Sandilands just hours before ARN’s 2026 content slate was revealed at the Upfront on Wednesday.
In pictures exclusively obtained by Daily Mail, the pair could be seen greeting each other with a handshake and leaning in for a hug before heading indoors together.
Two months ago, Smallzy announced the end of his Nova show, Smallzy’s Surgery, sharing his final broadcast in August.
It marked the end of the evening DJ’s 23-year stint with the radio network.
