Khloe Kardashian has made rare comments about her ex-husband Lamar Odom, a former basketball star with the Los Angeles Lakers.
While on her Khloe In Wonderland podcast on Wednesday the 41-year-old reality TV star shared that at one point during their marriage he destroyed some of her prized personal possessions.
The Good American designer was so devastated that she started screaming and crying as the experience was ‘traumatic’ for her, she relayed on her show.
And it really hit her hard. ‘I remember sobbing, tears streaming down my face,’ Kardashian relayed. ‘I could remember me on my knees, screaming.’
The personal items were her diaries. And the athlete, who is now 46, burned ‘all of them’ in a fire right in front of her because he was having a bad day.Â
Kardashian had a habit of writing down her innermost thoughts in her journals. She said she would detail everything that she was going through which made the books incredibly personal.

‘Everything was in these journals,’ the daughter of Kris Jenner, 70, said. ‘It was years of my life in these journals, and they meant so much to me.’
Kardashian explained that Odom ruined her journals – which had been ‘incredibly therapeutic’ for her – because he was having ‘a tough time.’
Odom was suffering from drug addiction at the time, something he has been open about in recent years.
‘He was incredibly paranoid and found these journals that he knew I did all the time and was reading them and just was convinced that I was like, taking notes and sending them to the government or something crazy,’ Kardashian said.
And his ugly move made her want to never write in a journal again. ‘Because I just felt like, wow, that was taken away in a f***ing blink, and what was the point?’ she said.
‘I’m not going to start a journal again and have someone destroy it, or I lose it. It’s more, I’m going to say traumatic for me, but I just don’t even want to open that up again,’ she said.Â
She then changed her outlook on material items.Â

She made this sad face after she explained the story. The subject came up when a fan asked her if she journals

‘I think it just made me [realize] … you don’t get to really keep anything in this world, and it’s, maybe that’s OK,’ she said. ‘I used to hold onto all these things, and sometimes I will write something, but then just throw it away. I don’t try to replace what I once had.’
Kardashian said she wishes the books were still around.Â
‘I wish I had those books just to see like, what were my thoughts then,’ she said.Â
‘That’s the special part of journaling — you look back, I don’t know, five years, 10 years, two years, and you’re like, “Wow, I was such an idiot. What was I writing about?” Or, “I can’t believe that mattered to me the way it did then.”‘
The Almost Always perfume mogul finished with: ‘It’s such a beautiful process to do, and so I do hate that I don’t do it anymore.’
Kardashian and Odom met in 2009 and wed after one month. She filed for divorce in 2013. She came to his aid after he overdosed in 2015 in a Nevada brothel. They finalized their divorce in 2016.
