Kevin Federline has revealed he hasn’t spoken to his ex Britney Spears in years while sharing new details about their relationship in a candid interview.
The 47-year-old former backup dancer was married to the 43-year-old pop star for two years, during which they welcomed sons Sean, 20, and Jayden, 19.
Speaking on KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday, Kevin admitted he hasn’t spoken to his ex-wife in years and he’s afraid ‘something bad is going to happen to her if nobody steps in.’
During the interview, host Jackie O Henderson asked him whether he had spoken to Britney before the release of his tell-all memoir, You Thought You Knew.
‘Did you share any of [the memoir] with Britney beforehand, and have you heard from her since, if not?’ she said.
‘No, I haven’t, unfortunately. We haven’t talked in years. And no, I didn’t call her about the book,’ Kevin admitted.

He went on to say he is concerned about Britney’s welfare as the ‘situation is bad’.
‘I felt like I needed to tell the stories that have happened and come forward and tell the truth, and just really ring the alarm and try to get some support for my sons and the people that care about her,’ he said.
‘Because I’m actually terrified that something bad is going to happen if nobody steps in.’
Kevin and Britney were married for two years before the singer filed for divorce in November 2006.

The book also recalls how he found out Britney had filed for divorce.
Kevin gained majority custody of the couple’s sons, Sean and Jayden, in October 2007.
In addition to his children with Britney, Kevin also shares daughter Kori, 23, and son Kaleb, 21, with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson.

He’s also raising daughters Jordan, 14, and Peyton, 11, with wife Victoria Prince, whom he wed in 2013.
The father-of-six announced his book in August with a press release that read in part: ‘The public unraveling of Britney’s life and the constant attention around their family forced Kevin to balance being a father with being a protector.’
His memoir comes almost exactly two years after Britney published a memoir of her own, The Woman in Me.
It came out on October 23, 2023 and contained details about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake as well as her 13-year conservatorship.
