Kevin Costner is reportedly in talks to portray former U.S. President Bill Clinton in an upcoming series.
The Yellowstone star, 70, is being considered for the role of the 79-year-old former Commander-in-Chief in political drama United.
The series is still in its early development and will be produced in collaboration with the United Nations, insiders told Variety on Wednesday. Night Hunter director David Raymond will write and direct United.
The show ‘will tell true stories of heroism and perseverance by humanitarians in pursuit of making the world a better place for all’ according to the publication.
Along with potentially starring in the series, Oscar winner Costner will also reportedly serve as an executive producer alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
Costner has played other historical figures in the past, including Eliot Ness in The Untouchables (1987) and Jim Garrison in JFK (1991).

Clinton served as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001.
In 1998, he became the second president in U.S. history to be impeached by the House of Representatives on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice, stemming from his attempt to cover up his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
He was later acquitted by the Senate and completed his term.
The former President reignited fears that his health is declining in August, after he and wife Hillary Clinton — Former Secretary of State — were spotted leaving the Hamptons with a defibrillator in tow.
Clinton has a history of heart health issues, having previously suffered a heart attack that required bypass surgery in 2004.
The Clintons, and more specifically Bill, have made headlines recently after being subpoenaed by House Republicans to testify about his ties to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

In his memoir that came out last year, Clinton admitted to flying on Epstein’s private jet, but claimed he had no knowledge of his crimes and said he regrets ever having met him.
Epstein was awaiting trial on child sex trafficking charges in 2019 when he committed suicide in his cell.
Costner most recently served as director, co-writer, producer and star of Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1.
He also starred in Taylor Sheridan’s hit modern Western Yellowstone, which ran for five seasons on Paramount Network, ending in 2024.
His performance as Montana rancher John Dutton earned him a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series. Costner left the series during Season 5.
Costner is currently being sued by stuntwoman named Devyn LaBella over an alleged unscripted rape scene filmed for his Western film, Horizon.
In October, the presiding judge denied a motion from Costner’s legal team to toss the entirety of Labella’s allegations – 10 in all – but did toss two of them.
Costner then appealed the decision, asking for the other eight remaining claims to be thrown out as well, according to TMZ.
According to Costner’s declaration, the scene was included in the script and saw LaBella ‘in full costume’ in bike shorts under an ankle-length dress, lying fully dressed next to actor Roger Ivens in a covered wagon.

Costner maintains the scene went only as far as having Ivens lift the hem of her dress and swing a leg over her, so that he ended up ‘on all fours over her.’
His declaration insists: ‘There was no nudity, simulated sex, simulated rape, physical contact, fighting, gyrating, or any physicality other than Devyn’s outer dress being pushed from her ankles to her knees.’
LaBella first claimed in a lawsuit this May that she was ‘the victim of a violent, unscripted, unscheduled rape scene’ directed by Costner while serving as a double for actress Ella Hunt for Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2 in May 2023.
Costner’s attorney Marty Singer denied the claims and vowed to ‘continue to fight for the truth’ saying he and his team were ‘extremely confident we will prevail.’
