Kesha Snubs Major Aussie City in Tour Announcement

Kesha Snubs Major Aussie City in Tour Announcement

Kesha has upset fans after announcing tour dates for her 2026 Australian tour in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth.

Kesha dropped news of her Tits Out Tour on Friday and fans were quick to complain about the Sydney snub.

‘How the f*** does Kesha come to Australia and not do Sydney, huh?’ one fan shared on X on Friday along with a picture of the star’s tour poster.

Some concertgoers however, appeared to take a shot at promoters who have routinely overlooked Australia’s smaller metro centres when planning tours for major artists.

‘For once Sydney knows how everyone else feels hahahahahaha,’ shared one fan on the same X thread, but added, ‘But I’m sure there’s a reason and she’ll be there!’

‘Not literally but no hate to Adelaide and Perth but WTF?’ moaned another fan.

Some fans speculated that Kesha, who played a special dance party gig at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre in January, has another date up her sleeve for her fans there.

‘Some comments are saying that she [Kesha] is waiting [to announce] because she is doing Mardi Gras,’ one Kesha enthusiast wrote.

This is a reference to Sydney’s famed LGBTQ+ event and Mardi Gras parade which is scheduled for February 28 – two days after Kesha’s last Aussie show in Perth.

Right now, Kesha is set to play her first concert Down Under at the Riverstage in Brisbane on February 19.

The Right Round singer will then head to Melbourne for a gig at the Margaret Court Arena on February 22, followed by a show on February 24 at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

For now, Kesha will wrap up the Aussie leg of her Tits Out Tour at Perth’s HPC on February 26.

Kesha was last in Australia as the headliner for the Australian Open in January, which was her first appearance Down Under since the Sydney Mardi Gras in 2020.

Kesha has enjoyed viral success in recent months with her 2024 single Joyride, which marked the beginning of her megawatt comeback.

In October, she also released another hit single Holiday Road, a cover of Lindsey Buckingham’s 1983 song, which saw her achieve a huge career milestone.

Her new album Period debuted at number 17 on the US Billboard 200 album chart.

Tickets for Kesha’s Australian shows go on sale August 8, with presale available from August 5.
