Kerry Washington continues her promotional push for Thicker Than Water: A Memoir, which officially dropped on September 26.
On Sunday, the Scandal actress joined one of her fellow Hollywood leading ladies onstage at the 2023 Miami Book Fair for An Afternoon With Kerry Washington In Conversation With Eva Longoria.
In Thicker Than Water, Washington gives readers an intimate view into both her public and private worlds, as a mother, daughter, wife, artist, advocate, and trailblazer, according to a synopsis by Goodreads.
She documents her childhood through to adulthood, so far, all while revealing how she’s ‘faced a series of challenges and setback, effectively hid childhood traumas, met extraordinary mentors, managed to grow her career, and crossed the threshold into stardom and political advocacy,’ all while discovering her truest self.
Washington, 46, hit the stage in a brown ensemble, consisting of pants and a matching blazer.

Washington was born in the Bronx, New York, the daughter of Valerie, a professor and educational consultant, and Earl Washington, a real estate broker.
