Kerry Katona has been left heartbroken as she revealed one of her closest friends has passed away on Wednesday.
The former Atomic Kitten star, 43, took to Instagram to share the sad news as she posted pictures and warned her fans not to ‘take life for granted’.
She did not specify what her friend Lauren had died from but did say she had ‘lost her fight far too young’.
Kerry penned in her thoughtful tribute post: ‘This brave, beautiful mother, wife, daughter, sister and the strongest person I’ve ever known, lost her fight far too young.
‘She fought for the last two years soo hard and was so determined to make it to 2024 and she did.

‘So many funny and amazing memories we have shared over the years since she was a young girl.’
She added: ‘I’ll never forget laughing our a**e off watching Love Actually to Hugh Grant dancing. We must’ve watched it 1000 times.
‘We love you so much and we’re going to miss you so much Lauren. Rest in peace beautiful angel. Don’t take life for granted people.’
Kerry’s followers were quick to offer her support in the comments as they said they were ‘so sorry’ for her loss.
Kerry looked fresh-faced in the old pictures which appeared to be taken on a girly night out as they posed up a storm together in happier times.
A more recent snap showed them in a group as Kerry snapped the sweet selfie.
It comes after earlier this week Kerry admitted she is ‘conflicted’ whether to move her family to Spain because she has been ‘working so much in London recently’.
She revealed two years ago that she was planning to start a new life in Spain in 2023 with partner Ryan Mahoney and her children.

However, in her latest new! magazine column the reality star has now said she is debating whether to ‘relocate to London’ instead.
Kerry, who currently lives in a £2 million Cheshire mansion, said she finds it ‘frustrating’ that she is always working down south and barely spends time at home.
She wrote: ‘I’m feeling a bit conflicted right now about our move. The plan was to move to Spain in July but I’ve been working so much in London recently that it’s difficult to know what to do.
‘I’m barely ever at home in Cheshire because of travelling down south. It makes me wonder if we should be relocating to London rather that Spain.’
She went on to add that she ‘feels guilty’ about moving abroad due to youngest daughter DJ, nine, ‘loving school’.
‘It’s frustrating when you have a nice home and never in it. But DJ loves school and doesn’t want to leave, so that makes me feel guilty. We’re undecided at the moment.’
Kerry has five children from previous relationships, Molly Marie McFadden, 22, Lilly-Sue McFadden, 21, Heidi Croft, 16, Maxwell Croft, 14, and Dylan-Jorge Kay, nine.
The TV personality revealed in May 2022 that she planned to ‘look at schools soon’ ready for the big more abroad.
In her OK! magazine column she said she hoped to move Spain by next year, she revealed: ‘We are likely to do another 12 months in the UK.’
At the time the former singer explained how she went to London for work and the long journey put her off staying in the UK due to the trip taking a whole day.
She added: ‘You can hop on a plane and be in Marbella in less time. So, that’s our plan. It’s exciting.’

The star then said that she wants to wake up to glorious sunshine each day and thinks it would be a nice life abroad.
She continued: ‘We will start looking at schools soon to get an idea of what we’re getting into.
‘So much of my work is online now, so it does make sense to think about a new start.’
In June that same year, Kerry was spotted in Costa del Sol house hunting but it seems she was unsuccessful as she is still ‘undecided’ whether to move.
