Kerry Katona’s toyboy boyfriend Paolo Magaglione has addressed accusations that he’s ‘hungry for fame’ as the couple gushed over their newfound romance on Monday.
The reality star, 45, found love with the personal trainer, 33, after meeting on Celebs Go Dating, which began filming in April.
The couple have gone from strength to strength since the show, reportedly moving in together two months after meeting, while Kerry has boasted they have an ‘unbelievable’ sex life.
However, their 12-year age gap, reality show meeting and speed of their relationship has sparked accusations from some fans that Paolo is after fame.
But the couple insisted that they are the real deal as they filmed an Instagram video answering questions from fans about their romance.
Kerry’s daughter Heidi read out the questions for the pair, and visibly winced as she read one comment that said: ‘Love this, but seeing this just makes me thinking Paolo is liking the fame too much – red flags.’

Heidi sarcastically quipped: ‘He is, he’s just fame hungry’ as Paolo jokingly agreed and Kerry planted a comforting kiss on his forehead.
The singer then shot down the accusation, saying: ‘If anything he’s been more supportive of me, because I’m the one that struggled with it more than anything.’
Paolo also denied the claim, as he insisted: ‘And I think as well, I think when people see the connection that we have together and how we are, they understand. You know, it’s not about anything other than that. Nice isn’t it?’
While Kerry also gushed profusely over their romance, declaring she’d ‘never been this happy’ before and praised the dynamic that Paolo and his two young daughters had brought to her home.
Packing on the PDA with her new man, she said: ‘I’ve never been this happy ever in my entire life. I feel like I’ve got everything and more that I’ve ever wanted in somebody,’ as Paolo agreed: ‘Me too, I feel exactly the same.’
While the Atomic Kitten star also dismissed her previous concerns about their age gap, declaring: ‘No, it doesn’t bother me anymore. You’re only as old as the man you’re feeling!’
Speaking about blending Paolo’s family and two young kids with her own five children, Kerry said: ‘It’s no different really. You know, I have a house full of children anyway, even if they’re a little bit older, there’s an age gap with my other kids. And it’s just normal, it’s all very easy.’
Paolo added: ‘When we’ve got the girls and all the kids together, we don’t have as much intimate time, but then we make time in the evening or midweek. So we make an effort to get that time together.’

Kerry – who is mum to Molly, 24, Lilly-Sue, 22, Heidi, 18, Maxwell, 17, and Dylan-Jorge, 11 – added that she was happy to have small children again, now that her kids were mostly grown up.
She said: ‘It’s great! It’s brought the house alive, I think it’s like the glue and you and your kids have brought the best of us out.’
It comes after Kerry candidly discussed her love life with Paolo as revealed just how strong their connection is – both in and out of the bedroom.
She told The Sun: ‘Oh, it’s f****** unbelievable. Honestly, even now I get stuck with words!’
She continued: ‘Whether this works out or not, how I feel right now, I can’t deny these feelings. I’ve never felt giddiness and my hands shake, it really excites me.’
Last week viewers got to see the moment that Kerry introduced Paolo to daughter Heidi and her best friend Danielle Brown – the sister of Spice Girl Mel B – on Celebs Go Dating.
Ahead of the milestone, she confessed she was ‘absolutely sh***ing’ herself with nerves as was desperate to get Heidi and Danielle’s approval.
‘I am absolutely sh***ing myself only because I really like Paolo,’ she admitted. ‘I want them to really like him too. So getting their approval means everything to me, but I’m a nervous wreck.’

In the tense scenes on the Channel 4 show, Paolo greeted both Heidi and Kerry’s with hugs, though Heidi responded with a hesitant embrace and a nervous giggle.
Danielle quickly took charge, explaining her protective instincts after 16 years of friendship with Kerry.
She quizzed Paolo on how he planned to handle the singer’s fame, pointing out: ‘I’ve seen so many people trying to get with Kerry, and they’re on the fame and they’re on the money and they’re on the attention.’
But Paolo insisted his intentions were genuine, stressing that as a devoted father himself, he simply wanted stability.
‘This sounds really weird, but I already feel like the richest man in the world, I’ve got my daughters,’ he explained.
‘So for me, I don’t need anything from anyone. I’ve been fully transparent from the beginning.’
His honesty seemed to strike a chord with Heidi, who observed that he was ‘very emotionally mature’.
Paolo went on to say that having open conversations – ‘the awkward ones or whatever’ – was the key to building trust.

As a final test, Danielle asked him what Kerry’s perfect weekend would look like.
Without hesitation, Paolo answered that she would want nothing more than to ‘get cozy, watch some movies and chill’. Danielle approved, telling him: ‘You know her well then.’
The encounter may have left Kerry drenched in nerves – at one point she admitted, ‘I’m sorry, I’m sweating so much.
‘Honestly, no. Don’t touch me. I’m really dripping’ – but Paolo appeared to pass the family test with flying colours.
Ahead of her Celebs Go Dating Stint, Kerry shared a heartfelt post about finding love again, following her split from ex-fiancé Ryan Mahoney in November after four years of dating.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a post which featured an optimistic voice over that read: ‘One day, someone’s going to come into your life who can’t get enough of you.
‘Someone who wakes up every day just excited to hear what you have to say and see your face. Someone who will make time in their busy schedule for you because you matter to them.
‘Someone who will treat you with the love and tenderness and respect that you always deserved. Someday, someone is going to come into your life who’s going to make every heartbreak and disappointment and tear before them make sense.

‘Because if those things hadn’t happened, you wouldn’t be the person you are today that led you to the moment of meeting them.’
At the time of her break-up from Ryan, Kerry confirmed that the fitness trainer had moved out of their home following a ‘breach of trust’.
However, she has since said that she has come to the realisation that he wasn’t for her as she reflected positively back on their separation.
Writing in her column for New! Magazine, she said: ‘I’m not heartbroken anymore and feel like I know that Ryan wasn’t the one for me. I’m a single woman and am in the best relationship of my life, which is with myself.’
