Kelsey Grammer endured three stormy and short-lived marriages – to a stripper, a Playboy model and a dance instructor, before finding the one in Kayte Walsh.
When he first announced he was getting married to the British air hostess, who is 26 years his junior, not many gave the relationship much chance of success.
However, the couple went on to live a cosy family life, having welcomed their fourth child together, and Kelsey’s eighth, a son named Christopher this month.
When the actor, 70, and his wife first announced they were expecting, a source told the Daily Mail: ‘Kelsey is thrilled to finally have time to fully enjoy being a father all over again’.
‘This will be their fourth child together, and with Kelsey’s other children from his past marriages, their new bundle of joy will have so much love.’
‘After giving Frasier one last go, he has hung his hat up on that character and is ready for the next phase of his life. He is looking forward to embracing the hands-on parenting he missed in the past.’

Kelsey originally met the British blonde in 2009 while she was working as a flight attendant on his London flight.
The two sparked up a romance when the actor was still legally married to his third wife, Camille Meyer.
In a past interview with Jimmy Kimmel in 2012, the actor recalled going out with Kayte for the first time and explained, ‘We went out for coffee several days later and had this magical night in the snow in London around Christmastime. It was two years ago,’ per People.
The couple announced their engagement in December 2010, and tied the knot during a romantic ceremony two months later on February 25, 2011 at The Plaza Hotel in the heart of New York City.
Kelsey’s divorce from Camille Meyer had been finalised only days before the nuptials on February 10.
At the time, the Hollywood star opened up about his fourth marriage to People and stated, ‘[It’s] like it’s never happened before,’ and later called Kayte ‘fantastic.’
The couple welcomed a daughter, Faith Evangeline, in 2012, although the two initially were expecting twins, losing their son in a miscarriage.
They also share son, Kelsey Gabriel, born in 2014, and another boy, Auden James, who was welcomed to the world in 2016.

Born in Hartlepool, Kayte is the daughter of former Bristol City footballer Alan Walsh and spent her childhood moving around the country.
At 23, after stints as a barmaid in France and a job working in a bakery in Greece, she joined Virgin Atlantic.
It was as Kelsey was taking his seat in Virgin Atlantic Upper Class on a flight from LA to London, that her life took a decisive turn.
She is well used to people joking about stewardesses on the ‘lookout’, but this, she insists, was different. It was ‘love at first sight’.
Kayte told Daily Mail in 2015: ‘I saw him and we looked at each other and smiled. It was like as if he had this golden glow around him. He came and sat at the bar, and we chatted about music and England. I was blown away by how lovely he was.’
The actor slipped her his phone number but, perhaps not surprisingly, Kayte says that she was ‘torn’ about calling him as she knew he was married – to former Playboy pin-up Camille.
Kayte recalled travelling to London on a bus a couple of days later for a hair appointment: ‘He told me where he was staying but I was indecisive.
‘I said: “God, if I’m meant to call him, I want a sign. I looked out the bus window and saw a sign reading, “Frasier Suites”. I was like: “OK, that’s not enough.” ‘Four minutes later, we passed an art store called Crane and a few moments later, we drove past the hotel where he was staying.’
They met for a coffee two days later, with Kayte saying: ‘It was lovely. We walked around Hyde Park and it started snowing.
‘He told me that he was in a situation he wasn’t happy in and I needed to be patient. We kept in touch.’

Kelsey’s first marriage was to Broadway dancer Doreen Alderman and was officially dissolved in 1990, after eight years, although the relationship was effectively over after less than 12 months.
The couple chose to stay together for the sake of their daughter Spencer.
The actor’s second marriage was to former stripper Leigh-Anne Csuhany, whom he met in the bar in which she worked.
As the marriage imploded, he began an affair with make-up artist Barrie Buckner and she gave birth to their daughter, Greer, born in 1992.
Kelsey went on to have a series of short-lived relationships, including one with Playboy model Tammi Alexander, before he met Camille for yet another troubled union.
He married the model in 1997 after meeting on a blind date the year before, they went on to welcome two children, two sons, Mason in 2001, and Jude, in 2004, before their split in 2010.
In an interview with Graham Bensinger in 2019, Kelsey called the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star ‘pathetic’.
‘Honestly, I don’t really talk about her very much, because so much of her life is spent talking about me and I just think it’s sort of pathetic,’ he said of his ex.
‘A month after I had a heart attack my mother died — 12 years ago now — the day of my mother’s funeral, my third wife basically had an explosion about something,’ he explained.
‘And she started telling me, ‘I’m out of this, I’m out of here. I want a divorce, blah, blah blah, which we’d had the same conversation for eight years, and it was tiresome,’ he continued.
‘I realised at that moment that I was done with her, that I was not going to end up in this relationship for much longer. And somewhere under a year I was done.’
In the same interview, he spoke glowingly about his fourth and current wife, Kayte, saying she had ‘a little more perspective’ and is ‘wise’ and a ‘whole person’.
