Following Sunday’s awards show, the 30-year-old shared a TikTok response to critics of her sparkling gold performance look that showed off her legs in black hose.
‘”You forgot your pants for your performance,” she said to the camera, imitating the comments. ‘Shut up! No I didn’t… No I didn’t.’
Ballerini continued while sitting in a makeup chair, ‘”Where are your pants?” Shut up! It looked hot. Period. Bye.’
The Subject to Change artist previously performed her 2015 debut single ‘Love Me Like You Mean It’ while taking the stage over the weekend in Austin, Texas.

Ballerini donned a gold jeweled one-piece with billowy sleeves and no pants, one of eight glam looks she donned for the event.
In late February, Ballerini was announced to host the CMT Music Awards for the fourth time in the row, her first without Kane Brown as co-host.
The country star was accompanied by boyfriend Chase Stokes at the awards show, where she earned three nominations, including Video of the Year for ‘If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)’.
She and the Outer Banks actor, 31, shared a kiss on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony.
Ballerini poked fun at Stokes on live TV when she focused on different audience members, pretending to read their minds.
‘And, would you look at that! We’ve got Chase Stokes from Outer Banks in the house! Who wouldn’t want to read their boyfriend’s mind?’ she started.
