Standing next to a grieving Sharon during her first public appearance since her husband Ozzy’s tragic death, Kelly Osbourne tightly gripped her mother’s hand.
The pair were attending a glitzy London event on Wednesday night hosted by Rebecca Vallance – and it marked a return to the spotlight after a tough year for the family.
Black Sabbath legend Ozzy died of heart failure at his Buckinghamshire home on July 22, just two weeks after performing a farewell concert with his bandmates at Birmingham’s Villa Park.Â
Since his passing, daddy’s girl Kelly, 41, has stepped up to be an unwavering pillar of support for Sharon – most definitely taking on the role of the family leader.
While her brother Jack is away taking on Bushtucker Trials in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here jungle, Kelly is clearly the one her mother is leaning on.
And Kelly wasted no time in defending Jack last week when he got into a row with Kelly Brook in the jungle as she protected her family after their difficult year.Â

She blasted model Kelly, branding her a ‘bully’ and ‘performative’ after the she clashed on screen with Jack.
She took aim at Kelly in a fiery Instagram Story, accusing the TV star of being ‘overly dramatic’ following her gagging reaction while gutting a fish during last Wednesday night’s episode.
Jack, 40, Kelly’s younger brother, had stepped in to help his campmate as she struggled to prepare dinner, politely asking: ‘Would you like me to cut up the fish?’
Although Kelly, 45, accepted his offer, she later claimed to camera that Jack had ‘elbowed’ her aside, saying: ‘I saw Jack’s eyes light up, it was like Christmas to Jack, and he came running over and elbowed me out of the way to get to this fish like a caveman, and I was like, no, I’m going to do it.’
Kelly then insisted on chopping the fish herself but repeatedly gagged and retched at the smell, prompting Osbourne to slam her behaviour as ‘performative’.
Osbourne has now leapt to her brother’s defence, admitting the exchange triggered her ‘protective’ instincts and even made her feel like ‘attacking’ the Heart Radio presenter for her tone.
Speaking on Instagram, she said: ‘Kelly Brook… I don’t think I like you. Elbowing out of the way to get to the fish… you’re so performative, with all the gagging and the over‑dramatics.Â
‘You bring out my big‑sister vibes where I want to attack you because I feel like you’re a bit of a bully.’Â

It’s no surprise that Kelly would be protective over Jack – who has broken down in the jungle several times due to the death – as her family have been through a lot this year. Â
Kelly has also made amends with her other sister Aimee after a turbulent relationship – which will be sure to put grieving Sharon’s mind at rest while she processes the loss of her husband.
It marks a mature move from Kelly to provide a more stable family unit after Ozzy’s death. Â
The two were both in attendance at their father Ozzy Osbourne’s funeral in July, which was the first time they had been publicly seen together in some time.
Kelly and Aimee had had a fraught relationship for years, after Aimee, 41, decided to move out when she was 16 to avoid appearing in her family’s MTV reality show.
In recent years the vastly-different siblings had admitted they weren’t on speaking terms, with Kelly saying in an interview they just ‘didn’t understand each other.’
But following Ozzy’s death in the wake of a six-year battle with Parkinson’s disease, The Mail revealed that both Kelly and Aimee were present in their father’s home during his final days.
This summer a source shared that the sisters were both there to care for their father after flying over from Los Angeles.
In addition, last month Kelly threw a sweet surprise for Sharon as she celebrated her first birthday since the death of OzzyÂ

They said: ‘Kelly has been at the house a lot in the last week or so, so has Aimee. It is terribly sad for all of them, they really hoped he would be able to carry on for a bit longer.Â
‘But it’s so lovely that he had his children around him during his last days.’
It came as a stark change. Â
Back in 2015, Aimee admitted to The Independent that she and Kelly were not on close terms and said: ‘I wouldn’t say there is an ease between us, but there is an acceptance. Do we socialise? No.’
Aimee – who is also a singer and performs under her initials ARO – was born in London and raised in California until the age of 16 but moved out of the family home as filming for The Osbournes began in the early 2000s.
Reflecting on her decision to not appear on the show she said: ‘Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television?
‘I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable.’

She said: ‘Shhh! So it’s my mom’s birthday today, and I just decorated her room.’
Kelly then panned the camera towards a plethora of floating balloons and wrapped gifts before she showed Sharon, who turned 73, sleeping in bed.Â
She added: ‘And she’s still sleeping.’
During his time in the jungle, Jack has opened up to campmates about his grief, reflecting on his father’s legacy.Â
He has shared memories of Ozzy’s iconic final show this summer and laughed about his wild antics, including famously biting the head off a bat, noting how such behaviour would be frowned upon in today’s society.
Jack, son of Sharon and the late Ozzy, shot to fame in the early 2000s when he and sister Kelly starred in The Osbournes.Â
It’s been almost four months since music legend Ozzy, frontman of Black Sabbath, passed away, leaving his wife Sharon heartbroken. Â
Speaking to campmate Lisa Riley, Jack opened up about losing his father, admitting: ‘We knew he was sick for a while, but it was definitely a shock. We didn’t think it would be that quick.’
He continued: ‘I was just saying, it was the ultimate mic drop, he did a massive, big gig and then said, ‘Alright, I’m done.’
The conversation left Jack in tears as he reflected on his father, saying Ozzy would have been fully supportive of his decision to enter the jungle.
Last month, Sharon cut a heartbreaking figure as she was pictured for the first time since Ozzy’s funeral.  Â
Ozzy had been battling a number of health issues in the years leading up to his death, including a fall in 2019 at the family’s home, which saw his condition further deteriorate.

Sharon admitted she had been ‘carried through’ by those around her, adding she was ‘still finding her footing’ after losing the husband she often said she lived for.

In one scene, Kelly said: ‘I think what’s happening to my mum is the most heartbreaking part of this whole thing.
‘And I think that watching the man that she loves most in this world wither is really, really hard.’
