RHOC alum Kelly Dodd has praised Meghan King as an ‘excellent mother’ and is now praying her former co-star will regain custody of her three children.
Dodd took to TikTok on Wednesday to fill followers in on a phone call she had just had with King after news broke the star had reportedly lost custody of her kids.
King, 41, allegedly told Dodd that she was deemed a ‘dangerous mother’ after she gave her seven-year-old son Hayes the ADHD medication Ritalin.
But Dodd, 50, said she has seen first-hand what a ‘good mother’ King really is as she defended the star to her followers.
‘So I just got off the phone with Meghan King Edmonds,’ Dodd told fans. ‘And she said that she gave one of her other twins Hayes some Ritalin, I guess, and it made her a ‘dangerous mother,”‘ she told TikTok followers.
‘This I do know, and we’ve had a lot of differences and a lot of fights, and a lot of things, she stayed at my house, I took care of her when she got her boob and her nose done, and I can tell you: she loves those babies, she loves those kids, and I know for a fact she’s a good mother. She is an excellent mother.

Dodd and Edmonds both starred in the Bravo series The Real Housewives of Orange County
‘I just pray that she gets her babies back. Everyone just pray for Meghan and her family. Those boys and that daughter need their mom, they need their mother. It’s terrible, it’s terrible what is going on right now. All we can do is pray for Meghan,’ she said.
The video, which showed Dodd walking through her kitchen, was captioned: ‘#meghanking pray for her .. She lost custody of her kids ! #prayers #losingcustodyoftheirkids.’
Sources told Us Weekly that King temporarily lost custody of the three children she shares with ex-husband Jim Edmonds in recent months as the result of an investigation by Child Protective Services (CPS).
As of now, King reportedly only has supervised visitation rights with her daughter Aspen, eight, and her seven-year-old twin sons, Hart and Hayes, while Edmonds currently has sole physical custody of their children.
The latest revelation on King and Edmonds’ contentious relationship comes after police were called on King earlier this year after she allegedly refused to leave Edmonds’ home.
The former couple wed in 2014, but King filed for divorce in 2019, and their divorce was finalized two years later.
One source reportedly told the publication that the CPS was called not by Edmonds or his current wife Kortnie Edmonds — whom he married in 2022 — but by an employee at the children’s elementary school.
The call subsequently launched an investigation, which resulted in King temporarily losing custody of the kids.

A school employee reportedly called CPS, launching an investigation. Edmonds (pictured with King in 2018) now has sole physical custody on a temporary basis, while King has supervised visitation rights
As of now, King’s lost of custodial rights is only temporary, and a source told the publication that a court hearing scheduled for December will determine if the current arrangement would be made permanent.
The loss of custody follows an altercation at the home Edmonds and his fourth wife share on May 1 of this year.
King was accused of going into the Missouri home ‘several times’ and ‘causing a disturbance’ on May 1 in a police report listing Edmonds’ current wife Kortnie as the ‘victim’ who had called the cops.
On May 1, the RHOC alum was accused of entering her ex’s home without permission after she stopped by to drop off a dress for their eight-year-old daughter Aspen.
King’s representative claimed to Us Weekly that the incident had been ‘mischaracterized’ in a statement and said she ‘never stepped inside’ the home.
They said: ‘Meghan briefly called to her daughter from the doorway, never stepped inside, had the door slammed in her face, and calmly left her belongings on the porch. Upon leaving, she was unexpectedly blocked by multiple police vehicles and treated in a way that felt unnecessarily hostile.
King’s representative claimed that Meghan had often been the victim in her dealings with Edmonds, rather than ‘the other way around.’
‘It should also be noted that Meghan has had primary responsibility for her children for some time now, with the other side’s involvement limited to select occasions,’ they added.
Edmonds and Kortnie’s representative said they would ‘let the facts speak for themselves.’
King was Edmonds’ third wife when they married in 2014. His first marriage was to LeAnn Horton with whom he has two daughters.
