Kel Mitchell has broken his silence after being hospitalized this week with an unknown ailment.
The beloved Nickelodeon star, 45, was admitted to an unspecified hospital on Tuesday night after arriving through the emergency room, according to TMZ.
Good Burger star Kel took to Instagram on Wednesday to detail his ‘genuinely frightening’ health scare and reveal he was recovering at home.
He wrote: ‘Grateful for the flood of prayers and positive vibes that surrounded me during a genuinely frightening time.
‘That scare was real, but so was the support. With the grace of God and the skill of the medical team, I’m now on the road to recovery at home, embraced by the love of my family.

A source previously told the outlet that Mitchell — who is gearing up for the release of the Good Burger sequel — was ‘conscious and alert’ upon his arrival.
In the hours before his hospitalization, Kel shared a post to Instagram promoting his upcoming on the VH1 game show Celebrity Squares.
He was eager to share the ‘exciting’ news with his 1.2million followers and urged them to ‘tune in for a laughter-packed evening with this amazing lineup of celebs!’
He also wrote that ‘God just keeps me smiling.’
The episode aired the night of Tuesday, November 7.
In recent weeks, he has been busy promoting Good Burger 2’s November 22 release on Paramount+.
Even though it received lackluster reviews from critics, the original 1997 film was commercially successful at the box office and went on to develop a strong cult following.
The teen comedy grossed $23.7 million against a budget of $8.5 million and became popular with millennials who grew up with Good Burger and the All That sketches that introduced the fictional fast food restaurant.
Mitchell originally played the role of Ed, the teenage cashier at Good Burger, while Thompson left audiences laughing as Dexter Reed, a 16-year-old high school student.

For the sequel, the story follows Dexter and Ed (Thompson and Mitchell) as they reunite in the present day at the fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a new group of employees.
This go-around sees Phil Traill (The Middle, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Single Drunk Female) at the helm as director.
Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert (All That and Good Burger) are serving as writers and executive producers.
The sequel also stars the likes of Carmen Electra, Rob Gronkowski and Jillian Bell.
Mitchell and Thompson were original cast member of the Nickelodeon sketch comedy All That for its five-season run from 1994 to 1999.
During the series, they were often paired together, most notably in the recurring sketch Mavis and Clavis, along with their Good Burger sketches.

The duo also starred in the popular Nickelodeon sitcom Kenan & Kel, which aired on the network almost concurrently with All That from 1996 to 2000.
Mitchell has been married to his wife Asia Lee for over a decade and the couple have two young children: daughter Wisdom, six, and son Honor, three.
He also shares 22-year-old daughter Allure and 23-year-old son Lyric with his ex-wife and actress Tyisha Hampton.
