Keith Urban has made a very surprising return to social media, after maintaining his silence for almost two months following his shock split with Nicole Kidman.
The country superstar, 58, shared a post over the weekend giving fans a glimpse of his new US reality TV competition called The Road, hosted by Blake Shelton.
The series follows 12 up-and-coming country music acts competing to open for Urban on his American tour.
In the clip, Urban shares a light-hearted look back at some of his most memorable hairstyles over the years, as he discusses his one true passion – making music.
‘You know you learn a lot when you’ve been on the road for more than a few years… especially when it comes to your hair. Right @keithurban??? @theroadcbs #TheRoad,’ Shelton captioned the post, which Urban shared to Instagram.
Urban then laughed it up at some of his ‘questionable’ looks from his early career.

Shelton pulled up a hilarious throwback photo of a much younger Urban with long blonde hair, prompting the singer to joke: ‘Well, that’s what I looked like when I first got here.
‘I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why I couldn’t get signed… didn’t know what the hell was going on with my hair.’
The Road premiered in the US on CBS and Paramount+ on October 19, and offers an intimate look at Urban’s musical life.
Urban candidly spoke out in the first episode about the challenges of life on tour, describing moments of being ‘completely lonely and miserable’ while away from his family.
‘Where do we start? It’s a calling, and you’re going to do it or you’re not going to make it,’ Urban said.
‘When you wake up on a tour bus at 3:30 in the morning, sick as a dog, in the middle of nowhere, and you’ve got to play your fifth show that night… missing your friends, your family, completely lonely and miserable…
‘You ask yourself, “Why am I doing this?” The only answer can be: Because this is what I’m born to do.’
The New Zealand-born singer’s candid reflections surfaced weeks after Kidman filed for divorce on September 30, ending 19 years of marriage and their life together raising two children.

Sources close to the pair have suggested that their busy schedules – Urban on tour and Kidman juggling back-to-back film projects – led to a ‘lack of intimacy’ that contributed to the surprise split.
The former A-list couple’s divorce sent shockwaves through Hollywood.
Earlier this month, insiders claimed that they know the real reason the A-list couple have parted ways – Urban is having a ‘midlife crisis’.
He has been ‘acting out’ RadarOnline reported last week, and has made a ‘string of confusing choices’ according to sources.
The publication reports Urban had felt hemmed-in by his marriage and his frustrations resulted in the pair’s split.
As the dust settles on the couple’s divorce filing in Nashville, another insider has revealed the extent to which the country singer blindsided his actress wife.
Kidman and Urban had been experiencing marital difficulties but were ‘getting it back together’ when he floored her with the decision that it was all over, according to a source who has known the Australian actress for decades.
Those within Nicole’s inner circle believe that by the time TMZ broke news of the couple’s separation on September 30, Urban was ‘done’ with the marriage.
At the time, reports indicated Nicole was ‘blindsided’ by the break-up.
However, it was the Oscar-winner who filed divorce papers, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.
Nicole shares daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, with her country singer ex-husband.
