Danny Dyer leaves shocked Jack Whitehall speechless as he drops banned expletive live on air and slates Keir Starmer during the BRIT Awards

Danny Dyer left Jack Whitehall speechless as he dropped a banned expletive live on air and slammed Keir Starmer during the 2025 BRIT Awards on Saturday night.

Some of the biggest names in music and TV descended on London’s O2 Arena for the highly-anticipated ceremony, which was aired live on ITV from 8.15pm.

Though most of the programme aired after the 9pm watershed, swearing is still bleeped out on live TV with artists including Sabrina Carpenter and Lola Young singing clean versions of their tracks.

However, EastEnders icon Danny, 47, didn’t quite keep to the same rules as ITV were forced to censor when he dropped a banned expletive during the live broadcast.

Viewers watching the show from home were faced with multiple muted moments while he spoke to host Jack Whitehall, though his comments have been revealed.

The actor uttered the highly-offensive swear word ‘c***’ before launching a furious rant aimed at Prime Minister Starmer, 62, calling him a ‘b*****d’ and a ‘s**g’.

The actor uttered the highly-offensive swear word ‘c***’ before launching a furious rant aimed at Prime Minister Starmer, 62, calling him a ‘b*****d’ and a ‘s**g’

Giving his unfiltered thoughts on politics, he said the world was ‘being run by ‘b*****ds’ before saying Starmer wins ‘b*****d of the year’.

Viewers were quick to take to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their shock and amusement at his unexpected swear-laden rant, with some calling it the ‘highlight of the night’.

    Comments included: ‘Danny Dyer – highlight of the night! You can’t silence the iron’; ‘The person with the bleeper every time Danny Dyer opens his mouth’;

    ‘Danny Dyer when he realises he was bleeped out so we never heard him’; ‘Danny Dyer publicly rinsing Keir Starmer on national television there’;

    ‘They let Danny Dyer have the mic and not expecting swearing’;

‘The BRITs might be the best awards show of the weekend, as the Oscars won’t have Danny Dyer mispronouncing Chappell Roan and naming Keir Starmer ”c*** of the year” to huge audience applause.’

Danny also didn’t shy away from using a whole string of expletives when he took to the stage to present the International Song of the Year award to Chappell Roan.

‘Hello motherf***ers! Listen guys… I’m f***ing sweating – it’s like a swamp down there, I’m telling you. Sweaty boll***s,’ he kicked off the speech with.

After mispronouncing Chappell’s name, he also said: ‘She couldn’t be f***ed to be here,’ before playing her video message.

It is not the first time the BRIT Awards has been faced with some awkward moments, with Lewis Capaldi famously being muted for his swear-laden acceptance speech.

The Someone You Love Me star’s began: ‘Hello motherf***ers!’ before being hastily muted by ITV bosses.

He said: ‘Listen guys, I’m f****ng sweating! It’s like a swamp down there I’m telling you, sweaty b******s hello Brit Awards!

‘It’s great to be here tonight, it’s just great to be out of the house to be honest, it’s been a great year for albums, mostly because I haven’t f*****g released one.’

The rest of Lewis’ speech was intermittent with muted parts as producers tried to block his profanities with the sound eventually returning as Lewis said: ‘Sorry, I was reading off a card here – ”how is everyone doing?”

After introducing the nominees, Lewis got in one more expletive, clearly took fast for producers attempting to mute his speech, adding: ‘Some good s***.’

The Osbourne family also didn’t quite adhere to the ‘no swearing on live television’ back in 2008.

Not only did they fill the whole show with expletives, but Sharon got particularly angry at comedian Vic Reeves in one awkward moment.

When he came on stage to present the Best Album award, Sharon deemed him too drunk to do the job after he stumbled over his words.

His ill-judged quip about singer Kylie Minogue – that she was ‘all right, a bit of work there and she will be OK’ – appeared to only enrage her further.

She barged him away and said: ‘Shut up, you’re p***ed, p*** off you b******,’ before deciding to reveal who the winner of the Best British Album award was herself.

Lizzie Cundy, 56, cuts a trendy figure in hot pink power suit as she steps out in London after calling out Keir Starmer for picking on ‘hard working’ pensioners

Lizzie Cundy showcased her chic sense of style while out and about in London on Friday, just after calling out Keir Starmer on the Jeremy Vine Show for targeting ‘hard-working’ pensioners.

The socialite, 56, looked nothing short of sensational, exuding elegance in a hot pink power suit.

The ensemble featured a hot pink waistcoat with a plunging neckline, matching high-waisted tailored trousers, and a stylish hot pink blazer.

She added inches to her frame with a pair of pink stud stiletto heels and accessorised with oversized black shades.

Lizzie completed the look with a black tote bag and draped a chic baby pink faux-fur coat over her arm.

The TV personality appeared in high spirits as she posed for the cameras, holding a giant personalised Valentine’s Day card.

Earlier in the day, Lizzie appeared on Jeremy Vine & Storm Huntley on 5 alongside Daryl Morris to discuss whether pensioners should downsize their homes.

The latest English Housing Survey suggests that baby boomer homeowners have multiple unused rooms, while younger generations are forced into cramped rentals.

Over 10 million homes in England have at least two unused bedrooms, many owned by those over 65.

The discussion began with the housing crisis in the UK and whether pensioners should consider downsizing.

Storm posed the question: ‘There’s this idea that asking older people to move out of the homes that their families have grown up in is taboo it’s not allowed, but should it be?’

Lizzie responded firmly: ‘I think this is a dreadful idea. I’ve got to be honest. Pensioners work hard all their lives. It seems this government is attacking pensioners left right and centre.’

‘You know it’s always the baby boomers Starmer seems to be going for. They have worked hard all their lives, they shouldn’t even have to consider this.’

Lizzie didn’t hold back in criticising the Prime Minister, adding: ‘Starmer needs to sort his own house out first. Look at the migration problem, look at the housing problem, and look at everything else that’s going on in this country.’

She added: ‘Don’t put it on to the pensioners, I really think this is really unfair.’

Storm then asked: ‘What if the government, instead of, because as Daryl says nobody wants to force people out of their house, but what about putting incentives in place, would you not like that?’

She added: ‘For example, reducing stamp duty or scrapping stamp duty for the over 65’s?’

Lizzie replied: ‘Look, I think we’ve got to look at this whole housing crisis. Generally, Starmer, I think he lives in a fantasy world and sprinkled with a heavy dose of poor judgement.’

‘Look what he’s doing with all of the green and the tax hikes on landlords. No one wants to be a landlord here anymore.’

Spice Girl Melanie Brown delivered an impassioned speech on domestic violence at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday.

Mel B, who is a patron of Women’s Aid, called for action over talking as she urged for more funding from the Government for domestic abuse charities.

The star, 49, explained how PM Sir Keir Starmer mentioned her during a speech to Parliament — then added: ‘But it’s not just about talking about it. It is getting the funding.’

‘It is (about) getting the funding because the government, they just allocate a little bit of money each year, but they end up spending millions (of pounds) because of the police service, because of the fact that they have to have a safe house.

‘They end up spending so much money anyway, if they just set it aside and allocate it properly and go to a charity with a foundation (in domestic abuse)… the money goes direct to the survivor, and they actually get the benefits from it.’

She added that ‘when you’ve been abused, you need a different kind of care and understanding’.

Mel has regularly called for awareness of the needs of survivors of domestic abuse, including better support through the health service and the court system.

She said: ‘If I wanted to report it and deal with the justice system, I’m fighting a losing battle because the judges are not educated.

‘I have to sit next to my perpetrator, and how am I going to feel? ‘I’m going to be stumbling, I’m going to be sweating, I’m going to have anxiety.

‘I never want to see this person again as long as I live. But dealing with the word abuse, it leaves us women completely broken and shattered.

‘A lot of women end up (dying by) suicide, or they end up staying, and if they stay, it’s a death sentence. We have to stop abuse.’

‘It’s a woman’s problem, and us as women, it’s down to us to stop it, and so let’s get together and start fighting this, because it’s not going to stop.’

Mel has accused her ex husband Stephen Belafonte of being abusive and controlling during their relationship, which she has discussed in interviews and her biography.

Stephen has denied the claims and has filed a £3.9million defamation lawsuit in the U.S. against his ex-wife, who he was married to from 2007 until 2017 and shares daughter Madison, 13, with.

In May 2024, Mel B was awarded an honorary doctorate for her campaigning efforts for victims of domestic abuse.

She said the award was ‘as massive’ as performing at Wembley Stadium with the Spice Girls.

In addition to her work with the Spice Girls, Mel has made a name for herself in TV, appearing on American television shows such as the US version of Strictly Come Dancing – Dancing with the Stars – and acting as a judge on America’s Got Talent.

She also appeared as a judge on The X Factor in the UK.

Jess Glynne looks lovingly at her girlfriend Alex Scott as the couple enjoy football match at Emirates Stadium

Jess Glynne and Alex Scott looked as in love as ever as the singer looked adoringly at her girlfriend on Wednesday evening.

The couple were seen in the stands at the Arsenal v Manchester United EPL match at the Emirates Stadium as they sat a few seat along from Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and his son.

Wrapping up in the cold, both women opted for black winter coats as they carried their coffee cups to their seats.

Pulling her red curls off her face in a slick back bun, Jess, 35, looked in great spirits as she beamed from ear to ear at the sports presenter.

The outing comes after Alex joked last month that she and Jess have ‘become the same person’ since moving in together as she made a rare comment about their relationship.

The BBC host, 40, gushed over the hitmaker, who she’s been dating for over a year, and discussed their similar hobbies and how supportive they are of each other.

Detailing her daily routine in The Times, Alex wrote: ‘I wake up next to my partner, Jess, who has become the same person as me over the past year and a half’.

‘She can see what going to the gym does for me mentally, so she’ll do the same’.

The sports pundit then went on to recall a recent bash at swanky store Selfridges where Jess was honoured after becoming the face of Fenty Hair by Rihanna.

‘I love seeing [Jess] thrive, I didn’t want to be photographed with Rihanna because I wanted the spotlight to be on Jess’.

Jess and Alex have been romantically linked since October 2023, after reports emerged they had been dating for months prior.

A source at the time said: ‘Alex and Jess have been a slow burn and they didn’t want to rush things or go public too soon.’

It was recently rumoured that the pair are considering a permanent move across the pond.

Alex’s future at the BBC has reportedly been thrown into doubt, with sources claiming she’s been ‘deeply hurt’ by a ‘lack of support’ surrounding Football Focus.

The presenter is thought to have made a complaint to channel bosses last year after the their response to criticism she faced around the show’s low viewing figures.

According to The Sun, Alex is now thought to be ‘considering other offers,’ and is even contemplate a move to the US with girlfriend Jess, as her BBC contract is up for renewal next year.

Alex has also stepped down from her hosting gig on Children On Need, with Rochelle Humes and Vernon Kay fronting the show this year.

A source said: ‘Alex has never been happier than she is right now, she’s just turned 40 and embracing a new chapter in her life, and the decision to part ways from Children In Need – an event she is hugely proud to have been a part of – was entirely mutual.

‘There are no guarantees she will be with the BBC next summer – her contract is up for renewal and she is in talks for a raft of other exciting projects.

‘Last year she was hugely hurt by unfair criticism about falling viewing figures – and felt she was thrown under a bus. The viewing figures were not as reported and she feels no-one backed her up and issued the correct viewing figures.

Alex recently revealed she kept her relationship with Jess a secret for more than a year because they both ‘knew their love was special’.

The former footballer and her singer girlfriend made their public debut as a couple in March at the BRIT Awards by posing on the carpet together.

Alex explained how they wanted to protect themselves for as long as possible, she said: ‘It took us a while because we knew what we have is so special, so it has been about trying to protect that and keep that for us in such a way that it continues to be beautiful.’

She recalled a sweet early memory when they met for the first time and Alex admitted she didn’t know how to act which caused Jess to jokily say ‘Are you not going to put your arms around me?’.

Alex shared the awkward encounter is still something they laugh about now.

In addition to praising Molly, he wrote: ‘On this 25th anniversary of the Pride of Britain Awards, I send my warmest admiration to all of this year’s winners. You each represent the very best in our society.’

The Prime Minister told the winners: ‘Britain is proud of you’.

‘For a quarter of a century, the Pride of Britain awards have celebrated the people who embody everything that is great about Britain. These are people from all walks of life, but they all have one thing in common. They’re heroes.’

‘They may not be the cape-wearing superheroes we normally think of – in fact, they look just like the rest of us. But they do have something that makes them very special indeed. Bravery, determination, generosity, empathy and huge spirit.’

Danny Dyer slams Tories and Keir Starmer, praises Angela Rayner

Danny Dyer has waded into politics yet again as this time he took aim at the new Labour government while also doubling down on his hatred for the Tories branding them ‘f***ing a***holes’.

The EastEnders actress, 47, said that despite his disdain for the Conservatives he ‘doesn’t trust’ the Prime Minister Keir Starmer and criticised their plan to cut winter fuel payment for pensioners.

He also took aim at former Conservative leader David Cameron branding him a ‘t**t – six years on from his iconic ‘he’s in Nice with his trotters up’ rant.

However despite going in somewhat on Labour he said that Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner would be good in charge.

He told The Big Issue magazine: ‘The Tories are such f***ing a***holes that Keir Starmer got in not for what Labour were saying but because the Tories fucked it up so much.

‘And I don’t like this man. I don’t trust this man. He got the job handed to him on a plate. So what are you going to do to show us you’re different? And he’s gone straight in on pensioners? I find that f***ing fascinating.

‘This is meant to be a working-class party. We need more working-class people in politics. Why Angela Raynor’s not leading things I don’t know. When she speaks, I listen.’

He added that the country ‘needs to be inspired’ but that we haven’t had a leader in a ‘very long time’.

Danny said that our last ‘supposed leader’ was David Cameron but that when the ‘s**t hit the fan he left’ and since then we have had nobody.

Back in 2018 Danny appeared on Good Evening Britain to deliver his unvarnished opinion on former Tory leader David – after he stepped down as Prime Minister following the Brexit vote.

Appearing alongside Jeremy Corbyn, Pamela Anderson, Ed Balls and Tory MP James Cleverly, Dyer lashed Cameron for calling the divisive referendum before ‘scuttling off’ on holiday.

The Good Evening Britain show that Dyer appeared on was a one-off special to ‘judge the mood of the nation’ after England’s World Cup matches.

He raged: ‘Let’s go back to this whole Brexit thing, when you’re judging them because they don’t know what Brexit is.

‘Who knows about Brexit? No one has got a f***** clue.

‘You watch Question Time, it’s comedy.

‘No one knows what it is. It’s like this mad riddle that no one knows what it is.

‘So what’s happened to that t*** David Cameron who brought it on?

‘Let’s be fair. How comes he can scuttle off. He called all this on.

‘Where is he? He’s in Europe. He’s in Nice with his trotters up.

‘Where is the geezer? I think he should be held accountable for it.’

On Sunday, Zoe announced she’d be back and, yesterday, there she was on the radio, at 6.30am sharp. Bright and breezy, if not quite as manically bouncy as usual, after battling the rainy drive from Brighton in her Mini

And Zoe Ball, the BBC’s highest paid presenter – on nearly £1million a year – has been off on extended unexplained leave, leaving the BBC scrabbling to fill her prime-time breakfast slot on Radio 2 with a rotating band of co-presenters, while everyone else has been asking: ‘Where on earth is Zoe?’

    But not any more.

On Sunday, Zoe announced she’d be back and, yesterday, there she was on the radio, at 6.30am sharp. Bright and breezy, if not quite as manically bouncy as usual, after battling the rainy drive from Brighton in her Mini.

‘It’s the happy wanderer!’ she says, by way of introduction. ‘I have wandered back. How was your summer?

‘What have I missed? Text me – I’ve missed you… No, I didn’t go to Turkey for a new face and teeth,’ she jokes.

We’re off on ‘Maximum Music Monday’ with Earth, Wind & Fire and a lot of chat about ‘mum crushes’, Strictly and the 50th anniversary of Ceefax.

There are also fulsome thanks to her valiant stand-ins who’ve had to miss their own shows and cancel holidays, love for her ‘gorgeous’ audience, and chat about how thrilled she is to be back.

‘So much has gone on since I was last here,’ she says. ‘I don’t know where to start.’

The BBC scrabblied to fill her prime-time breakfast slot on Radio 2 with a rotating band of co-presenters, while everyone else has been asking: ¿Where on earth is Zoe?' (pictured upon her return on Monday)

‘It’s the happy wanderer!’ she says, by way of introduction. ‘I have wandered back. How was your summer?

Instead, we hear what her listeners have been up to.

How Lisa from Westcliff-on-Sea, in Essex, has got engaged to her gorgeous man Darrell.

How someone’s daughter Poppy has got engaged to a chap called Joe.

How Sophie, calling from her commute, has got a new job.

And how a group of rowers from Walberswick have got sore palms.

Which is, of course, all very interesting, but it doesn’t quite deal with the elephant in the room. Which is taking up quite a bit of space.

Not just because Zoe is paid so much – £4,750 per episode – and hosts the UK’s most popular breakfast radio show.

Or because, for weeks now, her 6.4 million listeners have been sharing their concerns about her extended absence on social media.

Some of them properly worried. Others a bit bemused. And an increasing number rather angry about what they see as a waste of licence fee funds amid a cover-up.

It is all a bit odd because, normally, when presenters need to take time off, the BBC is very good at saying why.

Usually, if it’s for personal reasons – as with Lauren Laverne and Jamie Theakston (who are both undergoing treatment for cancer) – they tend to make an announcement, let their listeners know what’s going on. And everyone wishes them well and leaves them alone.

It perhaps didn¿t help that, every so often, there¿d be a ¿Zoe sighting¿

And then her son Woody took to social media to say he’d ‘stepped up’ to support her lately

Of course, if poor Zoe, 53, has been having a mid-life wobble and needed some compassionate leave, it would be completely understandable ¿ her mother, Julia Peckham (pictured) died earlier this year after a horribly short battle with pancreatic cancer. But why not just say?

Of course, if poor Zoe, 53, has been having a mid-life wobble and needed some compassionate leave, it would be completely understandable – her mother, Julia Peckham (pictured) died earlier this year after a horribly short battle with pancreatic cancer. But why not just say?

Occasionally, presenters take time off to do other jobs – appear on Strictly Come Dancing, present other TV shows, or maybe spend a few weeks celebrity DJ-ing.

But this time Zoe was away for six weeks, accompanied by a deafening silence and what feels like a frantic juggle behind the scenes.

It perhaps didn’t help that, every so often, there’d be a ‘Zoe sighting’. Shopping in Brighton’s Churchill Square. Larking about over a coffee with her ex-husband DJ Norman Cook (stage name Fatboy Slim) in Hove.

The Mail revealed that she’d moved house during her time off.

And then her son Woody took to social media to say he’d ‘stepped up’ to support her lately – though perhaps some of this was remotely, because most of his summer seems to have been spent partying at festivals.

Of course, if poor Zoe, 53, has been having a mid-life wobble and needed some compassionate leave, it would be completely understandable – her mother, Julia Peckham, died earlier this year after a horribly short battle with pancreatic cancer. But why not just say?

Perhaps we’ll never know what’s really been going on behind the scenes. But it’s nice to know she’s fine.

So welcome back, Zoe! And let’s just hope you’re here to stay this time.

‘Idris got up on the decks for a DJ set and Angela joined him. She turns 80 in October but she was partying hard and looked like she was loving it in the booth with Idris.’

The source added that Idris and his wife Sabrina were the last to head home in the early hours of the morning.

It’s been a busy month for Idris who’s play, Shifters, for which he serves as a producer recently transferred to the West End.

He has worked with Love Island host Maya Jama and rapper Little Simz on the production which has been hailed as ‘beautiful, funny and moving’ by audiences.

It has now been transfered to the Duke Of York’s Theatre after a sold out run at Bush Theatre.

Shifters tells the story of Des and Dre, who come crashing back into each other’s lives and are reminded of their love and time together as teenagers – but their time is limited.

Idris, who performed a DJ at his party, was joined on the decks by Angela Rippon, with her former Strictly partner, Kai Widdrington sharing photos

The play – which stars Netflix’s Supacell and Doctor Who star Tosin Cole alongside actress Heather Agyepong – has received high praise.

Audiences have gushed over the heart-wrenching tale, written by Benedict Lombe and directed by Lynette Linton, applauding it for being moving and thought-provoking but also humorous.

The trio, who will produce the play, will be joined by Eleanor Lloyd Productions, Chuchu Nwagu Productions and Sonia Friedman Productions.

Idris said: ‘This play is so well written by Benedict Lombe and so well performed by Heather Agyepong and Tosin Cole, we feel very, very privileged to be a part of its transition into the West End.’

MP Jess Phillips says Gaza ceasefire vote speeded up NHS care

The moniker ‘Two-Tier Keir’ already trips off many tongues. But will its usage in everyday speech now become irreversible?

I ask because of a remarkable disclosure by one of Sir Keir Starmer’s government ministers – Jess Phillips, loquacious Labour MP for Birmingham Yardley.

Speaking at an event unambiguously billed as An Evening With Jess Phillips, held at Kiln Theatre in North London, Phillips recounted an episode from her personal medical history which suggests that it may not just be policing which could be guided by a ‘two-tier’ approach but also, perhaps, treatment dispensed by the National Health Service.

Describing a distressing episode when she was having trouble breathing – ‘my lips had gone blue and I couldn’t breathe,’ she recalled – Phillips, 42, explained that she’d sought urgent treatment at A&E in a Birmingham hospital.

She was greeted by scenes of appalling overcrowding. ‘I have genuinely seen better facilities, health facilities, in war zones, in developing countries around the world,’ the minister continued. Nevertheless, eventually she got to the front of the queue.

Phillips resigned from Labour's front bench to vote in favour of a ceasefire in Gaza five weeks after Hamas terrorists killed 1,200 Israelis ¿ many of whom were mutilated or raped ¿ and took another 120 hostage. Her vote, she said, was the other reason that she received preferential treatment. Pictured: The southern Israeli city of Sderot on October 25, 2023

Her vote, she said, was the other reason that she received preferential treatment. Pictured: The southern Israeli city of Sderot on October 25, 2023

But this, she said, was ‘undoubtedly’ for two reasons only. ‘I got through because of who I am. Also the doctor who saw me was Palestinian, as it turns out. Almost all the doctors in Birmingham seemed to be.’

While in opposition, Phillips resigned from Labour’s front bench to vote in favour of a ceasefire in Gaza five weeks after Hamas terrorists killed 1,200 Israelis – many of whom were mutilated or raped – and took another 120 hostage.

Her vote, she said, was the other reason that she received preferential treatment.

‘He was sort of like, “I like you. You voted for a ceasefire”. [Because of that] I got through quicker.’

Far from reflecting on how MPs who voted against a ceasefire – still less a Jewish citizen – might have fared, Phillips, whose majority at the last election plummeted from 10,659 to just 693, with George Galloway’s Workers’ Party in second place, continued her account of her treatment.

She declines the opportunity to comment further. Evidence, presumably, of a two-tier policy on speaking her mind.

Yet I hear their kindness has been abused.

‘The owner saw this happening and the duck was flapping. The owner took the duck in her hands and strangled the duck . . . the owner ran off, got in her car and left. We are deeply upset.’

  • Eamonn Holmes replaced on GB News

Eamonn Holmes replaced on GB News

Eamonn Holmes was missing from the GB News line-up on Monday in a staff shake-up for the programme, with the star replaced by a familiar face.

The presenter, 64, usually hosts the show alongside Isabel Webster, 41, from Monday to Wednesday, however, he was notably absent from the latest show.

Instead viewers tuning in to see the former This Morning host were instead greeted by GB News regular Nana Akua, who was hosting alongside Isabel.

No explanation was given for Eamonn’s absence, with stand-in host Nana, 53 – who first made her debut on the show in 2021 – and Isabel launched straight into the day’s news which included Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s drop in support for US Vice president Kamala Harris.

Eamonn’s replacement comes after he was embroiled in a fiery clash with a guest in which he furiously shouted ‘Don’t lecture me – give me a break!’ during a Union Jack flag debate on Tuesday.

Royal broadcaster and historian Rafe Heydel-Mankoo joined the show alongside anti-racism activist Imarn Ayton to debate whether the Union Jack flag is too divisive.

The debate began as Eamonn discussed the recent news that a village in Norfolk feels divided over whether to fly the Union Jack flag, with fears it will ‘scare people away’.

The debate erupted after Imarn said the British people should reconsider flying the Union Jack flag because she claims it has ‘associations with the far-right’.

As Eamonn halted their heated and controversial discussion, he ended the segment with his personal opinion after he grew up on Northern Ireland – which sparked Imarn to furiously hit back.

Eamonn said: ‘Running a flag outside a village hall in Norfolk, you sort of think what’s the big deal.’

Imarn furiously hit back: ‘Be considerate. No, be considerate guys. I know you’ve finished your segment but Eamonn I’m not going to let you finish with that one.

‘Be considerate of other people’s beliefs and views. If you are considerate and sympathetic of everyone and how we perceive the world, you might find yourself leading with equality. Just so you know, I’ll finish it there.’

Eamonn said: ‘Let me just tell you something. You don’t have to lecture me. I sit in the middle, trying to see both sides of things…’ to which Imarn interjected: ‘Well, I have too.’

Eamonn shouted: ‘I grew up in a country…’, before Imarn interrupted again: ‘You should have finished with mine [opinion] but you finished with Rafe’s [opinion]’.

Host Eamonn assured: ‘I finished with everyone. I’m trying to say you did not grow up in Northern Ireland, where a flag represented something political and anti to a certain religion in northern Ireland, I did.’

Imarn said: ‘And just like with black people, you are not black sir and I understand racism more than you. I haven’t experienced racial discrimination or prejudice or bias in regards to being white but what I have done is experienced it being black. Ahh Eamonn, we’re the same babes.’

‘Ahh give me a break. Let’s go to the break. Back after this’, Eamonn finished.

Duke of Marlborough with New Companion at Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace appears to have a new chatelaine.

I disclosed in May that the Duke of Marlborough had separated from Edla, his wife of 22 years. Now, he’s been parading his new companion, Doune Murray.

As my exclusive photograph shows, the Duke, 68, better known as Jamie Blandford, and Doune were driven round the Game Fair at the weekend at his ancestral home, Blenheim in Oxfordshire, where Sir Keir Starmer entertained European leaders earlier this month.

‘Jamie and Doune are a couple,’ a friend tells me.

Jamie had met Edla Griffiths while she was living in Chelsea, perfecting her craft as a ceramicist. They have a son and daughter, both teenagers.

Their marriage was not without its squalls, such as in 2007 when a series of motoring and ‘road-rage’ offences saw Jamie jailed for six months.

By then, Edla had already been credited by many – Jamie included – for ‘settling him down’ after his turbulent 20s and 30s, during which, at his lowest point, his desire for drugs regularly led him to the notorious Mozart Estate in North London.

She made it plain that he was going to lose her unless he reformed for good. He duly did – aware that his first marriage, to Becky Few Brown, with whom he had a son, George, now the Marquess of Blandford, had foundered because of hard-partying ways which once saw him shoot out Verbier’s streetlights with a shotgun, perhaps destabilised by McNally’s hospitality.
