Matrix movie star Keanu Reeves seems to have a romantic side.
On Tuesday it was revealed that the Hollywood favorite took his longtime girlfriend, 52-year-old artist Alexandra Grant, out on an old-fashioned date.
The two were holding hands while ice skating in Rockefeller Center in New York City under the moonlight.
At first they seemed a bit awkward as they got their footing on the slippery ice while bundled up in winter wear like coats, scarves and beanie hats.
Then they took a moment to kiss for the camera by the towering Christmas tree which is still up from December.
Reeves, 61, has been in Manhattan for his new play Waiting For Godot.

‘Last Monday, after the run of Waiting for Godot, Keanu invited me on a date in New York City… ⛸️⛸️⛸️⛸️⛸️,’ wrote Grant in her Instagram caption.
‘…and we just want to give a shout out to everyone at the Rink @rockefellercenter for welcoming us! You made us feel right at home, cheering us on, and offering us hot cocoa and pompom hats.
‘Thank you, too, to the folks behind the scenes who made this special night happen — you know who you are!
‘And to the Christmas Elves, Nanea and Jeff, who got Keanu new skates. Getting back on ice after a few decades and moving from hockey skates to figure skates and *#$%@* toe picks is no joke! x.’
This comes a month after the couple were forced to deny they are married.
The 61-year-old John Wick actor had his publicist release a statement: ‘It is not true. They are not married.’
Reeves first went public with Grant in 2019, and six years later they seem in love as ever.
On September 3 his girlfriend marked his birthday on Instagram by sharing a heart-shaped cake with his name on it.

The actor held onto his lady love until she could get stable; it seemed as if no one else was on the ice

Last year fans noticed that Alexandra was wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger, fueling chatter that she and her beau had tied the knot.
The twosome met at a dinner party in 2009 and became business partners, collaborating on two art books together.
Their bond blossomed into a romantic relationship years later.
At the Sonic The Hedgehog 3 premiere last December, the Matrix actor was asked if the red carpet event was a ‘date night.’
‘I guess it is! Yeah, we got dolled up and it’s been very exciting… it’s just really special to be side by side,’ he told Entertainment Tonight at the time.
In 2023 Keanu gave rare insight into their connection when asked to name his ‘last moment of bliss’ by People.
He candidly answered, ‘A couple of days ago with my honey. We were in bed. We were connected.’
And the longtime actor gushed, ‘We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together.’

He also made a rare comment about being with each other amid the onset of the pandemic in 2020.
That August he told Parade: ‘It’s been really wonderful to be with Alexandra. We enjoy each other’s company, whatever that may be. Once the beaches opened up, we went for a motorcycle ride, and we have a couple of projects.’
Meanwhile, Alexandra praised her partner in a September 2023 interview with People.
‘He’s such an inspiration to me. He’s so creative, he’s so kind. He works so hard,’ she said.
She shared her perspective about dating later in life: ‘The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship had begun. I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel confident on it alone.’
