Keanu Reeves Embraced by Girlfriend Alexandra Grant After Fan Concerns

Keanu Reeves dutifully helped haul luggage for his girlfriend of seven years, Alexandra Grant, as she prepared to catch a flight out of Manhattan to LA on Monday.

The 52-year-old artist – who’s attending a Roxane Gay event at Occidental College this Tuesday – warmly embraced the 61-year-old Matrix alum before she took a black SUV to the airport.

Keanu – who recently denied marriage rumors – looked disheveled dressed down in a black hoodie over brown corduroy trousers, and beige suede slippers.

Reeves sported a red trucker cap repping his company ARCH Motorcycle, which he co-founded with builder Gard Hollinger in 2011, as he blew Alexandra a kiss and made a heart hand gesture.

On Sunday night, Grant sweetly supported the International Emmy-winning producer at the gala opening of his Broadway play Waiting for Godot.

Keanu – who relies on stylist Jeanne Yang – cleaned up in a black blazer over a white shirt, silver necktie, grey pin-stripe trousers, and dirty brown hiking boots.

But when fans saw video of Reeves entering the Hudson Theatre in Midtown, they were concerned with his well being.

‘He looks so skinny. It is worrisome,’ Instagram user @sondraschalk commented.

‘Since the last years, he gets scaringly [sic] thin. Hope he is not ill. He used to look so stunning during John Wick. What happened?’

Instagram user @almanza_lvhomes thought the Beirut-born Canadian could have looked more polished: ‘I get the whole humbleness but come on bro shower get a haircut and get a fresh suit and shoes.’

‘Gosh he could [have] made a little tiny effort on his appearance,’ Instagram user @dionfermin agreed. ‘Just a nip of an effort.’

Instagram user @fj80triplelocked commented: ‘My man got to get the suit from the bottom of the hamper. He never wears it. [He’s] just a free bird.’

‘Keanu I love you,’ Instagram user @francadicocco wrote. ‘But you need a new look!’

Keanu has essentially gone method to match the look of his hapless vagabond character Estragon in director Jamie Lloyd’s revival of the 1952 Samuel Beckett surrealist tragicomedy, which runs through January 4, 2026.

The reviews are in for Reeves’ Broadway debut and they’re not great.

New York Post critic Johnny Oleksinski wrote: ‘Reeves, on the other hand, is rough. He doesn’t imbue any of Gogo’s lines with meaning — only speed and breathiness.

‘They’re just memorized words that are read with the investment of stating one’s Social Security number. The actor relies on a vacant stare that’s money when he’s playing an assassin on the big screen. Not so much in live theater.’

THR critic David Rooney wrote: ‘The actor gets mileage out of stiff-limbed physical comedy, but his signature spaced-out monotone — so perfect in the John Wick movies, as well as earlier favorites like Speed, Point Break, The Matrix and My Own Private Idaho — makes Gogo the less soulful of the two.

‘Even when he’s suggesting the expedient of suicide by hanging or making grim pronouncements like: “It would be better if we parted. The best thing would be to kill me,” his Gogo is one-dimensional.’

New York Theater critic Jonathan Mandell agreed, writing: ‘The spark from his best performances isn’t there, as if he’s cowed at the profundity of it all, or too respectful of the play’s significance.’

Deadline critic Greg Evans was kinder, writing: ‘Reeves, as they say, is Reeves, an exceedingly charming actor who projects more than he acts but always seems to have full control of an audiences’ attention (and affection).

‘Yes, even when he seems to be trying too hard to be stentorian or angry or carrying out a bit of slapstick tantrum, he has us rooting for him.’

Waiting for Godot reunited the Dogstar vocalist-bass player with his former Bill & Ted trilogy castmate, Alex Winter, who portrays the heady Vladimir.

Keanu will next portray the angel Gabriel in Aziz Ansari’s feature directorial debut Good Fortune – hitting US/UK theaters October 17 – alongside Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, and Sandra Oh.

Reeves’ other upcoming projects include Francis Lawrence’s long-delayed Constantine sequel, Jonah Hill’s black comedy Outcome for Apple TV+, and Ruben Östlund’s satirical black comedy The Entertainment System Is Down.
