On Monday, the 40-year-old hitmaker ‘liked’ a satirical post from The Onion about her that alluded to her apparent relationship with Trudeau, 53.
Katy’s public ‘like’ of the post comes just days after she appeared to break her silence on the relationship at a concert in London.
The story, titled ‘Katy Perry Releases New Single About Superiority Of Canadian Manufacturing,’ detailed a fake song produced by pop mastermind Max Martin.
‘I like to write about what’s going on in my life, and right now, I’m definitely in my single, flirty, manufacturing-powerhouse era,’ read a fake quotation from Perry. ‘British Columbia’s hydrogen fuel cell industry is a whole mood.’
Notably, Trudeau wasn’t mentioned by name in the humorous article, but Perry’s burgeoning romance with the liberal politician was clearly the subtext for Perry’s fake surge in interest in all things Canadian.

‘I heard an early release of the track, the verse about tariffs totally slaps!’ riffed another reader.
‘The expected follow up – “Gravy & Curds” – is a power ballad about the life-changing potential of Canadian cuisine ~,’ read another reply.
The pop superstar — who had previously been seen kissing and cuddling Trudeau on her yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California — took to the stage on her Lifetimes world tour when she addressed the crowd.
In a video obtained by The Sun, Perry said: ‘London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school?
‘No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time… but not anymore.’
The singer also received a surprise marriage proposal from a fan during the show but had to turn it down.
She laughed: ‘I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago.’

A witness who took the snaps last month, said: ‘She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out. I didn’t realize who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy’s arm and I immediately realized it was Justin Trudeau.’
