Katy Perry has an idea or two about who should replace her as a judge on American Idol after the current season comes to an end.
The hitmaker, 39, who kept her cool during a wardrobe malfunction on Monday night’s show, opened up about who she thinks should fill the seat between Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
In an interview with E! News on Monday, the Billboard Music Award winner said, ‘I gotta say Jelly Roll was crazy when he came on the show.
‘I was convinced at anything he said,’ the When I’m Gone singer exclaimed.
‘He could run for president, he could be my pastor, I might go back to church for him. He could sell me anything,’ she explained after interacting with the 39-year-old Wild Ones singer who appeared on the April 8 episode.
If Jelly Roll were to join the team, it would be an all male panel with no women.

‘So I love him,’ she continued adding, ‘And to have any of these guys plus Jelly on the show would be amazing.
‘I love you, Jelly!’ she said in a shout out to the singer and rapper.
Perry said she would like her replacement to be ‘a truth teller.’
‘I want someone that is not afraid to tell the truth in a graceful way,’ she added.
Perry said whoever the next judge is, they will have to have a thick skin.
‘Unfortunately, when you’re a woman and you have an opinion or you’re a boss, sometimes you’re also considered a B-*-*-C-[H],’ she stated adding they would need to be ‘someone that has a strong sense of self, that listens to their intuition.’
Perry has been subtly hinting that new music could be on the horizon.
As she and fiancé Orlando Bloom, 47, headed to the Breakthrough Awards on Saturday, she carried a see-through purse with a scroll titled KP6: Top Secret in a clear glass tube.

When asked about it by Extra after Monday’s show, the California Gurls artist was elusive. ‘I’m just drip feeding a little bit,’ she said.
The singer and songwriter did admit she was looking forward to spending time with her daughter Daisy, three, whom she shares with her fiancé, and working on other as yet un-named projects.
‘Being a mother to me is really important’ she said.
‘And I have to create space in order to do other things as well that are all-encompassing of my energy and time.’
