Katie Price revealed that her 28 stone son Harvey is set to be put on a new weight-loss drug after a series of trials.
The TV personality, 47, said that her son, 23, is currently trying to ‘lose weight through his diet’ but will move onto the jab to speed up the process.
In April, his weight had reached almost 30 stone before the changes to his diet helped him lose 1.5 stone.
Harvey is blind, autistic, has septo-optic dysplasia, a learning disability, and has Prader-Willi syndrome, a genetic disorder.
A recognised symptom of Prader-Willi syndrome is a constant hunger and Katie fears her son may die without further intervention after trying a number of different weight loss strategies over the years.
Speaking on her podcast on Thursday, Katie explained: ‘He’s not started fat jabs. There are talks of fat jabs, of Mounjaro, for him.’

Katie continued: ‘But when he was there, they’ve actually got a new weight loss drug coming out, and it’s new.
‘They’ve clinically tested it on people and they’ve got a few people they’re putting it on first.’
‘And if it works, then Harvey can go on it in the new year.
‘But they want him to start the Mounjaro. Because if he goes on Mounjaro first and then goes onto this new one, it will work a lot quicker.
‘The reason he hasn’t started Mounjaro yet is because they were trying to get him to lose weight through his diet, to try all avenues.’
Back in April, Katie said she was ‘heartbroken’ because Harvey’s weight had gone up to nearly 30 stone, leaving him struggling to walk and at risk of losing his life.
She explained at the time: ‘I’m so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up.
‘I just googled it in stones, 188kg is just a few kg of being 30 stone. It’s so now, I’m still waiting for the doctors to get back to me starting on the Mounjaro and his journey to a healthy life.’

Mounjaro is the brand name for the drug tirzepatide, and has been hailed as the ‘King Kong’ of slimming jabs – more effective for shifting the pounds than similar drugs like Ozempic.
She went on to say how difficult it was watching Harvey’s ongoing fight, but vowed she would get him through it.
Katie said: ‘It’s so sad his quality of life at the moment where he’s so big, he just can’t really do much.
‘It’s just another thing I have to deal with because he’s at high risk of having a heart attack, he struggles to put his trainers or struggles to walk anywhere but I love him and I’m going to help him through this.
‘So sad, obesity and his condition is sad, it’s sad to see someone go through it and he doesn’t understand.’
Katie is also mother to Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, with her ex-husband Peter Andre and Jett, 12, and Bunny, 11, with her other ex-husband Kieran Hayler.
