Katie Price’s Racy Music Video: Parties with Sphynx Cat Amid Backlash Risk

Katie Price risked backlash as she partied with her sphynx cat in her racy new music video for her Best Of Me single.

The former glamour model dances around while holding the cat in parts of the clip, before posing provocatively on a bed in barely-there outfits.

While the cat appears well supported and in Katie’s safe hands, her latest move could spark outrage with animal rights organisations, PETA and RSPCA, following pet-related backlash she has faced previously.

Katie has been condemned by organisations over the years for owning pets after a series of deaths. Eight animals have died in Katie’s care.

In August, Katie sadly lost one kitten after her designer cat Doris’ gave birth, with one struggling to latch on to feed.

Katie, who recently bought a new puppy despite frequent calls from charities to ban the star from owning pets, has been branded ‘the Grim Reaper’ in a brutal new PETA Halloween campaign.

PETA’s Halloween campaign features a cartoon image of Katie with a black vest on with the slogan ‘Grim Reaper’ as she holds a coffin full of cats and dogs.

The post said that you could buy the Halloween outfit as a dress-up option for £34.99 and you will receive a a Katie mask, scythe, and a coffin of fake dogs and cats.

Sharing the post on X, PETA wrote: ‘TRICK, not treat! @KatiePrice’s record with animals is downright ghoulish – so we’ve conjured up the ultimate Halloween costume: the Grim Reaper of Pets.

‘For £34.99 you’ll get a Katie mask, scythe, and a coffin of (fake) dogs and cats. All proceeds support work to promote responsible animal guardianship, as well as spay/neuter surgeries to help fight the homeless-animal overpopulation crisis!

‘Grab yours at http://PETA.org.uk #Halloween #AdoptDontShop #KatiePrice.’

‘Too many animals have met a grim fate under Katie Price’s ‘guardianship’,’ says PETA Vice President for UK and Europe Mimi Bekhechi.

‘This Halloween costume may be a joke – but the message is not: being responsible for lives and needs of animals who are entirely dependent on you is serious business. And anyone who doesn’t treat it as such needs to stick to stuffed toys.’

A change.org petition page calling for her to be banned from owning more pets now has 37,828 signatures.

Katie’s treatment of animals has come under scrutiny after five dogs, a horse, and a chameleon all died while in her care – many of them in traffic accidents near her former home in Sussex.

Katie attributes these tragedies to ‘bad luck,’ with most occurring while she was away. She has since secured the garden of her new home to ensure her pets’ safety.

Responding to people who say she shouldn’t own animals, Katie previously told The Sun: ‘When people say I shouldn’t have animals, it’s circumstances that were out of my hands.

‘It’s no lack of me not looking after them or anything like that. I love animals, I love nurturing.’

After reports that Katie had given away her puppy Tank due to ‘losing interest,’ PETA penned an open letter to her in February 2024.

They offered her £5,000 if she signed a contract to not acquire another animal.
