Katie Price’s Chart Success Feels Like Revenge Amid Feuds with Exes

Katie Price’s recent chart-topping success reportedly ‘feels like real revenge’ after a turbulent few months which saw her feuds with her exes Peter Andre and Alex Reid be reignited.

Tensions between Peter, 52, and former glamour model Katie, 47, exploded last month, when Peter accused her of ‘peddling baseless lies’ after she claimed their children Junior and Princess lived equally between both parents.

The Daily Mail then recently revealed how Peter’s team had painted him as a ‘saint who had put up with Katie for far too long’ following their split in 2009.

However, disturbing footage from their noughties series was then posted online – with social commentators accusing him of being ‘manipulative’ and ‘narcissistic’.

Just a few days later another of her exes Alex Reid leaked a video of the bankrupt star appearing to count wads of cash.

The former cage fighter, 50, told his Instagram followers he was ‘exposing the truth’ about the glamour model, just days after Peter accused her of ‘peddling baseless lies.’

But since Katie has made a music comeback after her 2017 track I Got U unexpectedly climbed up the iTunes chart last week to number one as well as ranking third in the Big Top 40.

A source told The Mirror of the recent success: ‘Katie is delighted – and it feels like real revenge to everyone after all of the drama that’s been going on recently.

‘She won’t go quietly where the haters are concerned – she’s been so hurt and feels like she’s always painted as the bad guy, so this has truly picked her up when she needed it most.’

‘It’s not been easy for Katie having to defend herself over and over again when it comes to her exes. She feels like she’s a good mum and has actually held a lot of what has gone on back.’

A representative for Katie has been contacted by Daily Mail for comment.

Speaking last weekend following her chart success, Katie told fans: ‘I’m number one. Thank you all so much for all your support honestly means the world to me.’

Katie’s dreams of becoming a pop star have long been documented, and the personality even attempted to represent the United Kingdom at Eurovision.

In 2005, she battled it out for the public’s vote on the BBC’s selection programme, Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up.

However, Katie lost out on the chance on performing at the singing contest in Kyiv to Javine Hylton and faced cruel mocking and backlash for her singing abilities following the result.

Katie’s ex Peter Andre finally addressed questions about his ‘saintly’ image recently amid his toxic feud with ex-wife Katie as disturbing footage from their reality show was reshared online.

The Mysterious Girl singer has seen his long-running feud dragged back into the spotlight following the launch of their daughter Princess’ new reality show.

Daily Mail recently revealed how Peter’s team had painted him as a ‘saint who had put up with Katie for far too long’ following their split in 2009.

Scenes from the pair’s ITV show also reveal Peter mocking his ex-wife as well as blaming her for domestic mishaps.

In a clip that could be deemed the most shocking from the couple’s marriage, a furious Peter launches a vile tirade of insults at Katie.

The clip, which appears to have been filmed during their trip to the US, Peter declares: ‘You’re a f*****g idiot, I hope you learn a lesson and come down a peg or two because you’re too far up your own a*se.

‘You’re too up your own a*se, you’re a f*****g arrogant b***h, I’m not having her talk to me like that in front of anyone. F*****g idiot, stupid arrogant little f*****g cow.’

In an interview with The Telegraph, Peter addressed questions around his ‘saintly’ image, while refusing to answer questions about ex Katie.

He said: ‘Well, look, nobody’s perfect. No one’s perfect in this world. Everyone makes mistakes. But you get the measure of me by meeting me.’

The singer continued: ‘You’ll either think I’m too talkative and annoying, or you’ll think, ‘he’s alright, he’s harmless’.

‘But over a period of time you build a picture of someone, it’s about consistency.’

Peter can also be seen appearing to make ableist comments towards his disabled former stepson Harvey in resurfaced footage.

The clip shows Peter likening him to the wheelchair-bound character Andy played by Matt Lucas who had the catchphrase, ‘I want that one’ on the then-popular but now increasingly controversial comedy show Little Britain.

Earlier this month Peter publicly hit back at Katie with an explosive statement after she claimed on a podcast how Junior and Princess lived equally between both parents.

He pointed out in a lengthy post: ‘In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.’

Katie has since broken her silence on the drama in the newest episode of her podcast, saying she ‘refuses to be gaslit’.

Soon after Peter and Katie’s feud was reignited, another of her exes Alex leaked a video of the bankrupt star appearing to count wads of cash.

He told his Instagram followers he’s ‘exposing the truth’ about the glamour model, just days after Peter Andre accused her of ‘peddling baseless lies.’

Katie was declared bankrupt twice in 2019 and then again last year over a huge unpaid tax bill, but last year was discharged of both bankruptcies.

The video, which is believed to have been filmed in 2020, shows the star saying she is ‘enjoying counting’ the wads of money in front of her during a conversation with her daughter Princess Andre.

There is no suggestion that Katie didn’t declare the cash. In the video she brags: ‘There’s loads here… I’m just sorting it out.’

A representative for Katie Price told Daily Mail: ‘This is a video that was shared with Katie’s Trustee in Bankruptcy several months ago and Katie has fully complied with the Trustee’s investigations into the same.

‘The cash featured did not belong to Katie and the property referred to was dealt with in the financial settlement proceedings arising out of Katie’s divorce from Peter Andre.

‘Katie’s Trustee in Bankruptcy is aware of the property and has undoubtedly investigated whether the same ought to be comprised in the bankruptcy estate.’

A source close to Peter also said: ‘Peter has seen the video and is totally disgusted, even more so because his young daughter has been involved in it.’

His representatives added: ‘Peter will be dealing with this with his lawyers.’

Alongside the video, Alex said: ‘For years, I’ve watched as stories — many false, exaggerated, or deliberately twisted — have been pushed out into the public. Fake news isn’t just a headline, it destroys lives, reputations, and families.

‘This has been years in the making. Countless hours of collaboration, gathering evidence, and finding the strength to finally stand up and say: enough is enough.

‘I have stayed quiet long enough. Now is the time to speak. This isn’t about gossip, this isn’t about drama – this is about the truth.

‘The announcement I’m about to make will challenge the false narratives and shine a light where it has been needed for far too long.

‘The time for speculation is over. The truth is about to come out.’
