Katie Price Faces Fresh Heartache as Princess Andre Talks Second ITV2 Show Without Her

Katie Price is set for fresh heartache as her daughter Princess Andre is in talks for a second series of her ITV2 reality show, the Daily Mail can reveal.

The influencer, 18, has achieved record viewing figures with her four part series The Princess Diaries and bosses are eager to begin filming a second season to capitalise on the past month’s dramatic events.

But it will only cause more problems with her mother Katie, 47, who said she was ‘hurt’ and ‘upset’ over being banned from filming the show as Princess continues to carve out her career working with her father Peter Andre’s longstanding management company.

Princess has been dragged into her famous parents’ long running feud after Katie publicly criticised Peter and his team for ‘disrespecting’ and ‘disregarding’ her as a mother, prompting the Mysterious Girl singer to hit back with an explosive statement on Instagram.

After staying silent for 16 years, Peter, 52, revealed for their safety Junior, 20, and Princess had been in his care since 2018 as he accused his ex-wife Katie, who he was married to for four years, of ‘repeated lies.’

The former couple’s dispute has led to high viewing figures of The Princess Diaries, which has become the biggest launch on ITV2 this year outside of Love Island and spin-off All Stars, with 744K viewers and over 3.9million streams.

A TV source revealed: ‘The Princess Diaries has been a huge success for ITV2, bosses are really keen to sign Princess for a second series.

‘It was number one on ITVX for an entire week and has been the biggest launch on the channel outside of Love Island, with viewers already keen to see what happens next in the teen’s life.

‘The drama surrounding the show between Katie and Peter has definitely helped to boost its popularity but Princess also has her own fanbase which continues to grow.

‘Princess loved filming the series too, there’s nothing she wants more than to continue making the show.

‘A second season is likely to have more episodes but Katie’s ban will remain, the show is The Princess Diaries and her mother simply won’t be involved.’

Princess spoke in detail on her show about her childhood, growing up in the spotlight and coping with her parents’ bitter divorce.

She admitted to wishing she had a ‘happier childhood’ after crying every day in the wake of her mother’s split from third husband Kieran Hayler, who in an interview with the Daily Mail apologised to Princess for leaving the family home.

In scenes recorded for The Princess Diaries, the reality star reflected on watching Katie’s downfall, which included drug and alcohol abuse, bankruptcy and a severe decline in the former glamour model’s mental health.

The Daily Mail has contacted Princess’s spokesperson and ITV for comment.

Princess spoke to the Daily Mail ahead of her series launch saying she hoped her show would be recommissioned and she aspired to come back with an even stronger programme.

She said: ‘I will be looking for feedback and I probably shouldn’t but I will read comments just to see what people say about it for advice on the next show, if I do one. I’ll want it to be bigger and better.’

While Katie has been banned from filming, Princess’s father Peter, stepmother Emily and brother Junior all played key roles in the show.

The final episode of season one showed Peter giving an emotional speech to Princess at her 18th birthday party, saying how proud he was of the woman she’s become.

Katie didn’t attend the celebration previously saying she went away to avoid having it ‘rubbed in her face’ that she wasn’t invited.

She said: ‘Princess’s 18th birthday, the day of her birthday she had an 18th birthday party that I wasn’t allowed to go to and the reason is because Pete doesn’t want to be in the same room as me because I’m his ex.’

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Princess addressed her mother’s comments, saying it would be ‘weird’ if her divorced parents attended the same party and she has spent her life celebrating milestones with them separately.

Princess said: ‘What I would usually do, as I’ve done my whole life, would be to spend the morning with one parent and the evening with the other.

‘As it happened, mum ended up being away, and dad had already decided to throw me a last minute birthday party, which we filmed for the show.

‘But anyhow, it would be weird if both parents were in the same room, as I’m sure a lot of people out there with divorced parents can relate to.’
