It was perhaps rather predictable that Princess Andre would mark her 18th birthday by appearing on the front cover of a celebrity magazine.
After all, she is the daughter of Katie Price and her former husband pop star Peter Andre, who both made millions from marketing their media careers.
But what did raise eyebrows were some remarks Princess made in the accompanying interview about her approach to her birthday celebrations.
‘I’m not really a big drinker or a big party-goer,’ she said. ‘I’m not the sort of person who would embarrass myself. I’ll never put myself in a position that would make me look bad.’
This prompted a number of people who know her parents to get in touch to suggest that Princess was having a pop at her outrageous mother, who first made her name as the glamour model Jordan.
Only this week, a bikini-clad Price, 47, who has recently had a Brazilian butt lift, has been partying in Dubai just days after living it up in Ibiza with the likes of Gary Lineker’s brother Wayne, former EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney and ex-footballer Jamie O’Hara – something I’m told Princess doesn’t like to see.
To make things worse, while in Ibiza, Katie made a huge gaffe when she took to her Instagram on Friday to wish her daughter a happy 18th birthday. But she was two days early as Princess didn’t turn 18 until Sunday, June 29.
After realising her mistake, Price quickly deleted her post but the episode left many questioning how she could get something so wrong. She later replaced the post with another snap of Princess and wrote: ‘2 days until Princess turns 18 can’t believe it xx.’

Princess’s circle were stunned by Katie’s mistake. Now, I have always been assured that Princess ‘loves her mum’ despite her often chaotic lifestyle and the fact that she spent her formative years in the rather more stable environment offered by her father Pete and his second wife Emily.
But I can now reveal that relations are somewhat strained between mother and daughter – so much so that Katie was notably absent from Princess’s birthday meal at the weekend.
Sources tell me that the event was being filmed for her forthcoming fly-on-the-wall ITV television series and, because Katie has been banned from appearing on that, she was also not allowed to attend Princess’s do.
One tells me: ‘The last few weeks have been really special for Princess. She’d been filming her very own television show as she approached her milestone birthday, and has been working really hard behind the scenes on her career as an influencer.
‘Meanwhile, her mum has once again been hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons. She’s been partying and posing in her bikini and getting lots of attention in the process.
‘It should be Princess’s time in the limelight but, sadly, Katie just can’t help herself. She’s been doing everything she can to keep herself in the papers. Anyone who knows Princess will say she loves her mum but, equally, she is very difficult at times.
‘Nobody around Princess wants that for her, so it was very much for the best that Katie wasn’t at the bash. She was never going to be part of the celebrations, she wasn’t invited.
‘Katie was not with Princess on her birthday as she was filming a special episode of her television show, something that her mum is not involved in. Instead, Katie was posting pictures of herself living it up in Dubai.’

Katie Price accidentally wished her daughter a happy birthday two days early – which she quickly deleted. She uploaded this to her story on Princess’s actual birthday
I revealed back in May that Katie will not be appearing on her daughter’s television show as it focuses on her home life with dad Peter, his wife Emily and big brother Junior, as well as her career as an influencer.
The programme is being made by Pete’s management company, Can Associates, who looked after Katie when she was with Pete from 2003 until 2009, the year they sensationally split.
During their time together, Can arranged for the couple to make a big money reality show with ITV called Katie And Peter and helped make them millions.
But Katie has since fallen out with Can, so that put an end to any chances of her appearing on Princess’s programme.
Cameras have followed Princess as she had business meetings with brands such as hair-styling giant GHD, attended glitzy industry events, one of which was last month’s Boohoo summer party in London which saw her pose on the red carpet alongside her glamorous step-mum Emily.
She made her catwalk debut at the opening of the Ibiza Fashion Festival on June 12, where she was joined by her brother Junior, 20, and his girlfriend Jasmine Orr, 24, who flew out to the Balearic Isle to film scenes for her ITV show.
Three days later mum Katie, who is currently dating Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, 32, also flew out to Ibiza. While she was there, promoted the launch of her AI-generated alter-ego Jordan on US start-up OhChat after signing a six-figure deal with the firm.
The site allows its users to live out their ‘spicy fantasies’ with life-like digital doubles of public figures and Price is its first British avatar.

Princess’s brother Junior stayed on in Ibiza to enjoy some downtime with his girlfriend, while Princess rather tellingly returned home with the film crew, apparently without seeing her mother.
Party-girl Katie posted a video to her Instagram stories of herself with Junior and Jasmine, gushing about how much she loved her son’s girlfriend.
Princess and Junior have been heavily influenced by their dad Pete, who – in sharp contrast to their mother’s wild ways – had strict rules about family time, respect and manners, and made sure the pair finished their education before embarking on their careers in the limelight.
This, say those who know the family, has put the pair in good stead for their futures. In fact, some in the Andre camp say that they were ‘terrified’ Princess would turn out like her brash and at times unhinged mother.
The source added: ‘Princess and Junior are both incredibly polite and well-mannered kids. They are a credit to Pete and they are also both incredibly close to step-mum Emily. Pete provided a stable home and family life for them both, which has certainly helped as they’ve pursued their careers in the spotlight.
‘Princess is down to earth, hardworking and just a really sweet girl. Everyone has been impressed with her attitude while working on her television show, it really is the start of big things for her. And sadly, her professional future is going to have to be very far away from her mum.’
As for their personal relationship, some close to Princess doubt whether relations with her exhibitionist mother will ever be ‘hunky dory’.
