Katie Price ‘alarms neighbours’ in rural Sussex over mounting rubbish outside her £5,000 a month rental – just six months after relocating from her ‘Mucky Mansion’

Katie Price appears to have made herself at home after swapping her notorious ‘Mucky Mansion’ for a smart Tudor-style property in the Sussex countryside.

The former glamour model, who was declared bankrupt for a second time in 2024, is understood to be renting the sprawling home at a cost of £5,000 a month.

Price, 46, originally left her £2million family home last May after claiming vandals had poured corrosive acid over her car while it was parked outside the property.

The detached, nine-bedroom pile – notoriously referred to as the Mucky Mansion due to its shabby condition – was later sold for £1.5million in December.

And new pictures of her current address reveal telltale signs of the same disarray, with neighbours understood to be alarmed by the sight of bloated bin bags surrounding an overflowing wheelie-bin.

Large pieces of masonry and empty cardboard boxes can also be seen on the grass and alongside the house, alongside a folded wheelchair – possibly used by Price after she broke both her feet while holidaying in Turkey.

And neighbours are understood to be alarmed by the mounting rubbish, just six months after she moved into the property.

Price had previously admitted she was unable to obtain car insurance following six driving bands and numerous speeding tickets.

But the black Nissan Jeep she recently hired from a local car rental service appeared to be parked in the drive, alongside four additional vehicles.

Ahead of Price’s departure from her former last May, a source told The Sun: ‘Katie has been dreading this day for so long but now it is here, she can’t wait to leave.

‘The house has caused her so much grief and was too much to handle on her own. With work and the kids it all became too much in recent years. And she’s convinced it’s haunted.’

The former glamour model, was declared bankrupt for a second time in March 2024 over an unpaid tax bill of £761,994.05.

Speaking about the West Sussex property, she said: ‘I absolutely hate the Mucky Mansion, even how it’s been called the Mucky Mansion because of all the stuff that happened there before.

‘I can’t wait to get out of that house I’ve had nothing but bad memories in that house for nine years. I hate the Mucky Mansion, I never want to see it again and I can’t wait to move into my new place, I am so excited. New beginnings, new start, reset button, I love it.

     Katie Price’s Financial Woes

2019 – Katie was declared bankrupt with debts of £3.2m from her failed company Jordan Trading Ltd, that was set up to oversee her perfume and cosmetics line.

She set up the company in 2003 but in 2017 an application was put in to wind up the company as she tried to sort out her finances.

When she was declared bankrupt she vowed to pay back £12,000 a month to creditors of the firm through an individual voluntary arrangement.

The bankruptcy meant Katie, once worth a reported £45million, faced losing her £2million 11-bedroom mansion.

She took out a second mortgage on the property in 2015, but faced monthly payments of £12,300.

2022 – The former model had been due to attend the Royal Court of Justice to explain to a judge why she has failed to repay millions owed to creditors.

However, the hearing was adjourned at the last minute with her solicitors giving no reason for Katie’s no show before the court.

March 2024 – She was again declared bankrupt over an unpaid tax bill of £761,994.05. The demand for payment was made by HMRC in October 2023.

A court was told the bill ‘derives from self-assessments’ for 2020-2021 and 2021-22 and includes income VAT, tax, surcharges and interest.

Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Sebastian Prentis told the hearing at London’s Rolls Building: ‘There has been no response from the debtor. The papers are in order.

‘There is a substantial debt due from Ms Price to HMRC and therefore I will make a bankruptcy order.’

May 2024 – Katie is evicted from her home after being served with a notice and given weeks to leave. She is told bailiffs will arrive at 10am on 29 May to ensure she and any other occupants have vacated the property.

‘But don’t worry, I’ll be featuring my new house on my YouTube channel when I get the keys and welcoming you to my new house, I can’t wait, I just want to get rid of all the bad stuff in the past and have a fresh start.

‘Although I would love a big caravan, it wouldn’t fit us all in so it’s definitely not a caravan I’m moving into.’

Price was given until June 26 to leave her former home after being served an eviction notice, but left early following the alleged attack to her car.
