Katie Holmes bundled up in an oversized camel double-breasted coat while strolling through Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood on Wednesday.
The Dawson’s Creek alum – turning 45 next month – wore her fringed brunette locks in a messy updo and sported grey sweatpants and black sneakers as she braved the 40-50F-degree autumn weather in New York.
Katie – who relies on stylist Brie Welch – finished off her casual attire with a black tote bag and a pair of oversized Jackie O-style sunglasses.
Holmes famously portrayed the former FLOTUS Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in Reelz’ The Kennedys in 2011 as well as its 2017 sequel The Kennedys: After Camelot.
The Rare Objects director-star even directed one of the After Camelot episodes for the dismally-reviewed two-part miniseries, which also starred the late Matthew Perry as Ted Kennedy and Kristen Hager as Joan Bennett Kennedy.

‘Jackie Kennedy had these values that we as Americans believe in, but she also had this sense of adventure that made you pay attention,’ Katie gushed to Town and Country at the time.
‘She was so graceful, even when she was scared or sad. I really admire her protection of the Kennedy name, her husband, and how much she wanted her children to be as grounded and normal and successful on their own as possible.’
Holmes continued: ‘To experience something publicly and privately is a lot for a person to go through. In today’s world a lot of celebrities probably shield their children from the tabloids.
‘In my household, we know what they print isn’t true, so we don’t pay attention. There are more important things. But it’s very relatable to me; if people know who you are, they might write about you, and you can’t control that.’
The Ohio-born beauty has only five months – or $166,666 – left of child support payments coming from her ex-husband Tom Cruise before their daughter Suri Cruise officially becomes a legal adult at 18.
However, the 61-year-old Mission: Impossible action star did agree to pay for the not-so-typical teenager’s college tuition, and she’s evidently ‘leaning towards’ studying fashion in New York.
Tom – who also covers Suri’s medical, dental, and insurance expenses – hasn’t been pictured with his youngest child since ending his six-year marriage in 2012 to Katie, who receives no spousal support.
Cruise has had ‘no part’ in Suri’s life, and some speculate his alleged estrangement has to do with the mother-daughter duo ‘disavowing the Church of Scientology’ and devotees don’t associate with SPs (suppressive people).

The four-time Oscar nominee is also father to two older children – Isabella Jane Cruise, 30; and Connor Antony Cruise, 28 – from his decade-long marriage to ex-wife #2 Nicole Kidman, which ended in 2001.
Holmes – who dated Tom’s Collateral co-star Jamie Foxx from 2013-2019 – has been single since ending her eight-month romance with bass player Bobby Wooten III nearly a year ago.
The Alone Together director-star’s last acting gig was playing movie star Julia Cheever in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s off-Broadway play Wanderers, which ran from January 26–April 2 at the Laura Pels Theatre.
