Katie Holmes Shows No Signs of Aging Since Dawson’s Creek

Katie Holmes proved she’s barely aged a day since captivating audiences as Joey Potter on Dawson’s Creek, the beloved WB series that ran from 1998 to 2003.

Now 46, the actress was recently spotted on the set of her upcoming film Happy Hours, a project she not only stars in, but also wrote and is directing.

While hard at work behind the scenes, Holmes channeled the same effortless charm and youthful energy that first made her a household name.

Dressed in a pair of classic denim overalls layered over a long-sleeved black shirt and grounded with rugged boots, she looked like a modern-day nod to her iconic teenage role.

Her look evoked a sense of nostalgic familiarity, reminding longtime fans of the down-to-earth girl from Capeside, who once stole hearts with a sideways glance and her sharp wit.

Holmes’ on-set style wasn’t the only thing turning heads this week as fans of  Dawson’s Creek went wild over her reunion with former costar Joshua Jackson.

‘And working with Josh after so many years is a testament to friendship. Happy Hours is a love story that includes so many people I adore. We can’t wait for everyone to see what we make.’

Life imitated art as Holmes was in a real-life relationship with the SAG Award nominee during the first two seasons of filming Dawson’s Creek.

‘I feel so fortunate because he’s now one of my best friends. It’s weird, it’s almost like a Dawson-and-Joey type thing now. He’s been in the business so long, and he’s really helped me. I respect him as a friend and as a professional.’

But girl-next-door Josephine ‘Joey’ Potter and bad boy Pacey Witter wound up getting back together for the series finale to watch their pal Dawson Leery’s (James Van Der Beek) TV show The Creek.

Behind the scenes, Joshua got to make his directorial debut helming a 2003 episode titled ‘Lovelines’ during the sixth and final season.
