But Katie Holmes was looking glum as she returned to the set of Happy Hours on Monday.
The Dawson’s Creek star, 46, was not exactly embodying the name of her film as she chatted with Joshua during a scene shot outside of the Dear Strangers restaurant in Greenwich Village.
The latest day of filming comes days after Joshua sparked romance rumors with Bridgerton star Simone Ashley.
It seemed as though nothing could break Katie’s concentration as she brought her vision to life.
Katie, 47, was in full filmmaker mode as she chatted with her former co-star, even gesturing to make a point.

Katie, hair piled up into a messy bun, wore a bright red button down shirt and graphic T-shirt tucked into a belted pair of jeans.
Joshua opted for a graphic T-shirt, jeans, and leather footwear with a handy watch on his wrist.
Katie was able to lighten up at one point, as she cracked a smile while enjoying a Diet Coke break.
As the director, writer, and one of the stars of the film, Katie certainly has a lot on her plate when it comes to this particular project.
This new movie certainly isn’t the first time Katie and Joshua have worked together – they famously starred in the hit high school series Dawson’s Creek, which aired from 1998 to 2002.
The pair even dated in real life, from 1998 to 1999.
Last week Katie couldn’t have looked any happier working with Joshua on set – a trait that did not go unnoticed by various netizens.
The googly eyes were not for a movie scene: Holmes was sizzling when the cameras were off too as they were seen on a busy sidewalk.

Another chimed in: ‘She has the feels for this dude, can’t blame her, he is certainly cute!’ Then there was this: ‘I am in love with how in love she is with Pacey.’

But Joshua has since sparked romance rumors with someone else.
