Katie Holmes protected herself from the elements in style as she headed to a matinee performance of her show Our Town in New York City on Sunday.
The actress, 45, headed to the theatre in an off-white trench thrown over a cosy turtleneck and jeans.
Umbrella in hand, she trekked through the rain in alligator print ankle boots and paired the look with faded jeans.
Katie also enjoyed a pre-show energy boost with the help of a cup of coffee.
Her brunette locks cascaded down in sleek, glossy waves and she threw on a pair of edgy sunglasses.

The actress flashed a beam as she made her way to the show.
Holmes is currently starring as Mrs Webb in a new production of the Broadway play Our Town.
The New York Daily News reported on Sunday that Katie’s daughter Suri Cruise attended a showing of her mother’s play.
The publication reported that Suri was the first audience member to jump to her feet, as well as dermatologist Dr. Kenneth Mark and divorce attorney Ken Jewell, when Holmes emerged to take her bow.
Katie has been getting raves online for her performance, being called ‘phenomenal’ and ‘amazing.’
Our Town – a play written by Thornton Wilder – has returned to the Broadway stage for the first time in over 20 years.
The revival features a total of 28 actors, including Holmes, Jim Parsons, Zoey Deutch, Ephraim Sykes, Julie Halston and Michelle Wilson.
The premise follows the ‘timeless tale of a small town’ as ‘a stage manager narrates the daily lives of its locals, depicts a childhood friendship turn into marriage, and sets the stage for magnificent truths of what it means to be alive,’ per the official Broadway website.

Previews kicked off on Tuesday, September 17 at the Barrymore Theatre, opening night is October 10 and dates are set to run through January 19, 2025.
Katie made her Broadway debut in 2008 for a production of All My Sons, and last appeared on Broadway in 2012’s Dead Accounts.
‘Love working on @ourtownbroadway,’ the actress wrote on social media recently of her latest show.

Meanwhile, Holmes’ daughter Suri is currently attending Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.
Suri has spent much of the last 12 years living in the shadow of frenzied speculation over her infamously fractured relationship with her famous father, Tom Cruise, whom Holmes was married to from 2006 to 2012.
Cruise has all but been exiled from his youngest child’s life for many years – a bitter rift that stems in large part from Katie and Suri’s decision to cut ties with his controversial Scientology faith.
