Katherine Ryan has jumped on the I’m A Celebrity boycott bandwagon due to ITV’s decision to let politicians, who have ‘directly hurt families’, join the show.
The Canadian comedian, 40, revealed she decided to turn down the opportunity to go in the jungle because she is ‘against glorifying dangerous people’.
Admitting she takes politics very serious, Katherine wasn’t impressed with Nigel Farage following in Matt Hancock’s footsteps.
Speaking to the Metro, Katherine said: ‘I vehemently am against glorifying people like Matt Hancock and Nigel Farage and reducing them to light entertainment fodder when I think that they’re very dangerous people who have directly hurt lots of families.
‘I don’t think that’s a joke, for me, so I wouldn’t be watching. I didn’t watch last year. I take politics quite seriously.’

The former UKIP and Brexit party leader, 59, is believed to earn a bumper £1.5million for his appearance on the show.
The signing of the GB News star has proved controversial as Nigel is a famously divisive figure, who is known for his right-wing views on immigration and gender pay gaps.
Fans have also threatened to boycott I’m A Celeb over their ‘tone deaf’ decision to let Nigel enter the jungle.
Some fans are less than happy with Farage taking part, with nearly 10,000 people using the hashtag ‘Boycott I’m A Celeb’, when he first enter the jungle.
Katherine also revealed that she hasn’t been able to take part in the show because she’s always had small children.
The comedian shares a daughter Violet, 14, with her ex-husband and has Fred, two, and Fenna Grace, nine months, with her husband Bobby Kootstra.
She added: ‘They’ve checked my availability in the past maybe, but I’ve always had small children and I wouldn’t be away from them in Australia for 30 days, I just wouldn’t.’
Meanwhile, the comedian confessed how people in her professional are ‘great’ to have on I’m A Celeb because they have ‘nothing to hide’.

But Katherine was quick to doubt herself if she was ever to appear on the ITV show, admitting she would be the ‘worst candidate’, as she hates the sunshine, wouldn’t eat crazy things and is scared of snakes and spiders.
Katherine recently revealed she sent parents a waiver form with rules they must sign for their children to attend her 14-year-old daughter’s Halloween party.
She initially made Violet, who goes to a private school, make a presentation to her putting the case for how her friends would respect their home at any party.
Having then agreed to allow it, Katherine has insisted the parents of all the children attending must sign her ‘good behaviour’ form even though she says she herself will be in the house.
She said she felt she had to compile her party document because of modern age ‘liabilities’ and to protect her property and the children.
