Kate Waterhouse is a high fashion vision in J’Aton Couture as she makes her debut as a Sydney ‘swan’ in the latest edition of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
The 41-year-old first daughter of racing royalty stuns in a breathtaking floor-length white gown from the fashion house as she is crowned one of Australia’s most glamorous socialites by the publication.
For the shoot, the influencer recycled the same J’Aton dress she wore to Derby Day during the Melbourne Cup Carnival last year.
She teamed it with a headpiece from the same label and a stylishly messy updo that would look out of place on Kate’s perfectly coiffed Instagram feed.
‘Fashion is in my family’s DNA, but it isn’t all about opulence,’ she told the magazine in an accompanying interview.
‘I think you can still be discreetly glamorous, not just in the way you dress but the way you live, too, which is probably my personal preference.’

J’Aton is a popular label among red-carpet regulars, including Rebecca Judd, , Kylie Minogue and Delta Goodrem.

The mum-of-two and daughter of celebrated style icon Gai Waterhouse is typically the picture of ‘old money aesthetic’.
‘My style, like most women, has evolved as I’ve gotten older,’ Kate wrote in a style blog published on her own website in 2021.
‘[Things that are] not practical when chasing after two little girls and because my tastes have matured.
‘There are simply pieces I just don’t think are right for me anymore. There are things that I wore when I was younger that I probably wouldn’t even consider now because of changes in lifestyle.’
Items she ‘wears to death’ included flat shoes, structured pieces (shirts and blazers) and high quality staples.
Kate’s trend-setting fashion sense has cemented her status as a style icon on the track.
