Kate Ritchie stuns fans with a performance of classic Aussie tune at Wharf4Ward charity event: ‘Absolutely nailed it!’

Kate Ritchie took to the stage in an impromptu performance that delighted fans at the Wharf4Ward fundraiser on Thursday afternoon.

Known for her long-running role as Sally Fletcher on Home and Away, the former actress took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, performing the beloved theme song of the famed Australian drama.

Crowds at the charity event was visibly moved as Ritchie’s rendition echoed through the wharf.

‘Without a doubt. I think now, right now, if Home and Away was going to wrap up and they asked you to do a final show without a doubt you would do it,’ Fitzy, 46, said.

‘Absolutely,’ Ritchie immediately replied.

‘But see Home and Away is going to keep going for a long time. What age do you get to before you go, “No, I’m not doing this. I’m not coming back at 80 years of age as Sally Fletcher, to do this one last time,” Fitzy pushed

‘I think it would always come down to the fact, regardless of how old I was, if Ray Meagher asked me to come back, to change the sheets in the caravan park, I’d be there hands down,’ Ritchie confessed.
