Kate Ritchie has responded to wild romance rumours linking her with racing driver Daniel Ricciardo.
The radio star, 45, addressed speculation that she is ‘crushing’ on the Aussie Formula One star, 34, on Thursday morning’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie radio show.
Kate was left in stitches when her co-hosts Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli told her she had been linked to Daniel, who often features on their Nova FM show, in a recent report.
She was baffled after learning there was speculation about the ‘chemistry’ between her and Daniel – who is dating Heidi Berger – following the Melbourne Grand Prix.
Firmly shutting down the rumours, Kate simply laughed them off and commented that Daniel’s girlfriend Heidi might not be happy to learn of the fan speculation.

Joking about the claims, Fitzy told her: ‘To be honest, I thought Daniel Ricardo seemed a little distracted on the track and I thought I knew everything.
‘We’re a pretty tight team in here and you kept this from us. Fitz, I feel like we’ve been played for a fool.’
Kate also joked about the photograph that had been used of her alongside the report as she quipped that Daniel would be ‘head over heels’ after seeing it.
She joked: ‘Really, let’s be honest. I mean, if Daniel didn’t fancy me before, now, when he sees this article, and… he sees on the left hand side a photograph of me in head to toe white linen as if I’m Maggie Tabberer, you will be head over heels.’

Wippa then read out speculation describing Kate and Daniel as a ‘great match’, to which Kate jokingly agreed, saying: ‘I mean, here here!’
Daniel is in a happy relationship with his actress girlfriend Heidi, who is the daughter of Austrian driver Gerhard Berger.
The couple went Instagram official with their relationship back in 2022, but it is believed that they started dating back in 2019.
Daniel frequently features as a guest on Nova FM’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie and previously opened up about his romance with Heidi on the show.

Back in 2022, he revealed he was ‘in love’ with his girlfriend Heidi as he gushed over their romance in sweet comments.
‘Yeah mate, I’m in love,’ he gushed at the time. ‘I’ve got a good thing going on, so yeah, I’ve got a good balance in life right now.’
