Channel Seven’s The Voice Australia is set to return later this year with a fresh panel in the big red chairs.
And already coach Kate Miller-Heidke has taken to social media to smack down critics of the new line-up.
The 42-year-old blonde singer-songwriter gave a caustic response to fans of the show who claimed they didn’t recognise her or new coach, U.S. singer LeAnn Rimes.
Posting to Instagram in response to one user who asked, ‘who are the two blondes?’, Kate replied sarcastically, ‘The Veronicas,’ a reference to the famed Aussie pop duo.
Also among the new Voice coaches this season is Grammy-nominated singer Adam Lambert, while returning star Guy Sebastian completes the line-up.

Still, one user who wasn’t much impressed with the fresh faces posted the comment: ‘I don’t know half these people.’
‘Me neither,’ Kate shot back.
Meanwhile, Kate had her fair share of supporters.
‘I hope you are wildly inappropriate and not-tv-ready on this show,’ one wrote.
‘Wow! Will this be an interesting season,’ added another,

The new faces replace last year’s departing trio of coaches: Rita Ora, Jessica Mauboy and Jason Derulo.
LeAnn, 41, real name Margaret LeAnn Rimes Cibrian, has had more than 40 charting singles since rising to fame as a country music star at the age of 13 with her 1996 single Blue.
Meanwhile, fans know new coach Adam Lambert, 42, from his role fronting Queen.
While alternative pop singer Kate is best known for her tracks The Last Day on Earth and Zero Gravity.
Guy said of returning to the panel for his sixth year: ‘It’s so good to be back on The Voice! It is always very special to be a part of a show that continues to not only uncover fresh Aussie talent but also shine a bright, well-deserved light on so many talented singers.

Sonia Kruger will also be back as host, presiding over the competition as a new group of aspiring artists take to The Voice stage hoping to turn their singing dreams into reality.
