Sharing a picture of the duo practicing their lift in rehearsals, Kate wrote: ‘LIFT OFF. I am so proud of you @adeleroberts ✨ no words can describe it…this photo says it all.
‘And @markhanretty I’ve already told you a thousand times, you are the warmest man on ice.
‘Watching you both last night was just breathtaking and seeing how you both helped each other through this past week…simply beautiful. I’m your proudest number 1 fan today! Just wow.’
Adele and Kate have been together for almost two decades, and will celebrate their 20th anniversary next month.
Adele was diagnosed with bowel cancer in October 2021 and has documented her treatment on social media, which included colostomy surgery to remove a bowel tumour and having a stoma bag fitted.
In 2022, she said that the ordeal has brought her and Kate even closer together, saying: ‘We’ve just got stronger and closer and it’s made me realise what an incredible human she is.
‘She’s been my strength and without her I don’t think I’d be this upbeat. I think it would have really got to me mentally… but every morning I see Kate I just feel blessed to wake up to her every single day.’
Adele added: ‘She’s pretty much become my carer. She’s gone above and beyond what a relationship should be and she’s been everything to me.’
