Kate has remained open candidly her struggle adapting in a blended family, admitting she ‘overthinks’ her actions when it comes to caring for her stepchildren.
During an appearance on Virgin Radio she explained: ‘My family are so accepting. They love me. It’s nothing to do with them. I just always will feel a little bit worried, and it will be a little bit of a struggle. I don’t think the box is ever fully ticked.
‘I think sometimes I can mistake them just being teenagers that don’t listen. I start thinking, “Oh my god, is it me? Is it because I’m their stepmum?”
‘And every now and then I just have to sit back and say, “They are teenagers and this is what teenagers do.” But you can be a little bit more sensitive.’
