The camera flips to reveal his girlfriend in a skin-tight zip-up jumper and white riding breeches. She is filming them as they learn to play polo on holiday in Argentina.
Liam’s beaming expression provides a rare insight into the star’s mood just days before his death in October 2024.
It’s one of the last known pieces of footage taken before the singer, aged 31 and on a cocktail of drugs including a prescription antidepressant, cocaine, MDMA and crack among other substances, fell 45 feet from the third-floor balcony of his room in the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.
‘Enjoy each moment life brings you,’ Kate captioned the never-before-seen video, which she shared for the first time with her 1.8 million followers yesterday.
‘Because I didn’t know this would be the last time I’d ever seen my boyfriend again in this lifetime.’

Kate and Liam had been staying at their friend Gon’s picturesque rural home in Argentina but the former waitress flew back to the Spanish-style mansion she shared with Liam in Miami to look after their rescue dog, Nala, just three days before he fell to his death.
Since Liam’s death two years ago, Kate has regularly posted content about her late boyfriend on social media.

And while most fans have enjoyed the rare insights into Liam’s final weeks and days, some question Kate’s motivations for posting old videos of Liam, with some going as far as to accuse her of trying to profit from his death.
As one music industry insider tells me, ‘She’s got the keys to a content goldmine there and she’s cashing in.’
While many of Liam’s devastated fans find comfort in Kate’s attempts to keep the memory of the singer alive, I am told there are ‘darker undertones’ behind yesterday’s video.
Sources in Liam’s inner circle reveal they’re concerned about Kate’s ‘ongoing bitterness’ towards his family, who have a much closer bond with Cheryl Tweedy, the mother of Liam’s beloved son, Bear.
While Cheryl and Liam had long been separated at the time of his death, they had remained in each other’s lives because of Bear, now nine. And Cheryl has since described the ‘earth-shattering’ agony of having to the little boy about the death of his father.

So it’s telling that Kate’s latest post came just hours after the Fight For This Love singer, 42, shared photos of a trip to Disneyland with Bear and Liam’s family on Instagram.
‘Somewhere in the corners of the world Magic still exists,’ Cheryl wrote. ‘I completely escaped into my inner child for the last couple of weeks. What a wonderful place.’
In one clip, the former Girls Aloud singer can be seen leading Bear, dressed in a grey tracksuit with his face concealed, through the brightly lit amusement park.
Among a flurry of supportive comments, Liam’s older sister, Ruth Gibbins, who was also on the trip, joked about their time on Disneyland’s infamous ride, The Flight Passage.

But less than 24 hours after Cheryl’s post, Kate released the unseen footage of Liam’s final days.
‘She just can’t resist,’ my insider tells me. ‘There’s ongoing bitterness that she’s not as close to the Payne family as Cheryl.
‘What’s also perfectly clear is that she feels cut off from Liam’s legacy and is trying to prove that she was just as close to him as they were. But proving a point by sharing Liam’s final days has some pretty dark undertones.’
My source hints at the jealousy Kate seems to harbour for Liam’s ex, explaining: ‘Cheryl has been the very best mother to Bear and is trying to help him deal with his father’s death in a way that is best for him.
‘And then Kate just keeps writing her own narrative in a strange “one-upmanship” manner and it’s pretty upsetting for the family. We have to think of Bear first.’
Liam and Kate were together for two years after meeting in October 2022. They briefly split in May 2023, but quickly reconciled and moved in together in Miami and adopted a dog in September 2024.
Despite sharing so much, Kate didn’t receive a penny of Liam’s £24.3million estate after he died. He did not leave a will, and the entire fortune went to Cheryl and Bear.
All Kate seems to have left of her boyfriend are the clips she filmed during their time together. But sources who were close to Liam tell me that Kate’s relentless social media posts about her relationship are upsetting his friends and family.
One of Liam’s former colleagues described her posts as ‘distasteful’ and ‘unhelpful’.
My source says: ‘Of course she is fully entitled to remember Liam, but this all feels a bit much. It’s surely triggering for those who loved Liam.
‘His parents are normal people, a normal family who don’t play the fame game, they don’t have time for influencers or TikTokers. They saw what fame did to him and they don’t want any part of it. They will grieve their son for ever, privately.’
Liam had had a handful of other girlfriends following his rise to fame with One Direction after The X Factor.
Among them were dancer Danielle Peazer, followed by model Sophia Smith. Then came Cheryl Tweedy in 2015. Their son, Bear, had just turned one when their three-year relationship ended in 2018.
