LIAM Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy tearfully told fans that any future boyfriends she has need to accept that she’ll always love the late One Direction star.
Influencer Kate, 25, was left devastated last October when Liam, 31, died after falling from his third floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The couple had been holidaying together in the country, before Kate returned to their home in Florida alone to look after their dog, Nala, just two days before the tragedy.
She has grieved publicly since then, regularly sharing her thoughts and feelings about Liam in emotional videos and pictures.
In a new TikTok video, Kate broke down as she responded to a troll who said they longed for the day she would meet someone else and stop talking about Liam.
Wearing a pink vest top and her hair tied back, Kate said, “I want to make something clear. Whoever I end up with in my future will have to accept the fact I will always love Liam, I will always talk about Liam I will always laugh about Liam, I will always cry about Liam.”
She said she normally pays no mind to critical comments but this topic really riled her.
“Let me tell you something, Liam Payne was my boyfriend,” she continued. “He wasn’t just this famous figure to me. It hurts so bad because I am just criticized all the time for speaking about my boyfriend that passed away, the person that I loved and still do love.
“I would never settle for anyone in this lifetime who did not feel comfortable enough with me speaking about Liam.”
She said any man that isn’t comfortable with Liam remaining a major part of her life will not be the one for her.
“Liam was a very big part of my life,” said Kate. “He was my best friend, somebody I really thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with and, obviously, I know one day I’m going to have to move on.
“I want to get married one day. I want to have kids.”
Kate then recalled the saying “when a person dies, they die twice”, explaining it’s “once when they actually die and the second time when you stop speaking about them”.
She said, “I’m not going to have Liam die twice on me.
“I will love him forever.”
In October, Kate told her fans that she received a sign from Liam after being involved in a car crash.
The police report for the incident ended in 444, which is her and Liam’s ‘angel’ sequence and the number she has tattooed in his memory.
Some people believe these repeated numbers and sequences are messages from a spiritual entity or the universe.
The accident followed Liam’s sister Ruth slamming people “using his death for fame” in a heartbreaking post on the anniversary of Liam’s death.
She wrote, “Everyone only seems interested in the public side of this.
“Some sadly seem more interested in the fame they can gain off this, but on the human side people need to remember when they speak, there is a son without his Dad, parents without their child and I am lost without my brother.”
To mark the anniversary, Kate shared a video of her and Liam’s final dance before his tragic death.
She wrote, “This video was taken during the last hour and last day Liam and I shared in this lifetime.
“I am forever grateful for the beautiful moments we shared. I will miss you for the rest of my life Liam.”
As well as sharing this emotional video of him lifting her up, Kate shared some AI-generated snaps which some deemed as “distasteful”.
