Britons are famous for being a nation of animal lovers – but few can match Kate Beckinsale.
The actress has revealed she misses her cat so much that she sleeps with his ashes each night.
The 50-year-old was ‘totally heartbroken’ when Clive died in June aged 19 – and she’s clearly still grieving.
After a fan asked on Instagram whether he was cremated or buried, she wrote: ‘Cremated and call me weird but I sleep with his little casket in my bed every night.’
She also posted a montage of photographs of ‘Things and people that have given comfort or lifted my spirits’ – including a portrait of Clive surrounded by candles.

Ms Beckinsale, who has 5.6million followers on the social media site, regularly updated fans about the antics of the grey and white Persian.

She regularly dressed him up for Christmas and Halloween – and they were often seen in co-ordinated outfits.
