Kat Von D helped her husband Rafael Reyes ring in his 50th birthday at Craig’s in West Hollywood on Thursday.
The tattoo artist, 42, and the Mexican author and musician were joined by their five-year-old son, Leafar Von Drachenberg Reyes.
Interestingly, their son’s name is a playful twist on his father’s, as it’s Rafael spelled backward.
The star — who recently shared an update on her all-black tattoo cover-up transformation — flashed her tattooed midriff in a long-sleeve black crop top, which she paired with a pair of black bell bottom slacks.
She wore black vegan leather Poe Sandals, from her luxury vegan footwear Von D brand. The shoes feature vibrant candy-red insoles and retail for $200.00.

Kat — born Katherine von Drachenberg — completed her outfit with dark gothic makeup, a black purse, and a silver necklace.
Rafael sported a sheer black long-sleeve shirt that was left partly unbuttoned, black pants and a pair of cowboy boots.
He shielded his eyes with a pair of sunglasses and sweetly held his arm around Kat’s waist.
Meanwhile their son sported a rocker t-shirt, black pants and sneakers.
Kat also took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a loved-up snap with her husband, giving him a sweet kiss on the cheek.
‘My man,’ she captioned the photo, which was taken at El Mercadito, a market that offers a blend of shopping, dining, and entertainment with a strong Mexican cultural influence. Another snap at the market saw her posing with Leafar.
Earlier this week Kat shared a glimpse at the family’s vacation to Mexico, where she was born.
In the caption she also said that it has been a ‘rough year’ and she was grateful to get away and make new memories.
One snap saw her and Rafael on a yacht, with stunning blue water as their background.

Kat — who recently scored a victory in a copyright case over a famous Miles Davis photograph — wowed in a theatrical wide-brim black hat and a matching black dress. Meanwhile Rafael sported a pair of overalls.
Another photo saw them exploring water caves with Leafar.
Kat flashed a bright smile at her son while swimming with him and exploring the picturesque area.
Her full caption read: ‘Been a rough year, to be honest. So grateful to be able to spend some much needed family time away from all the chaos and can’t thank you enough @thefivesoceanfront + @romarleybeachhouse for making this little family vacation so special!’
‘The beautiful views, the food, the activities and warm hospitality — but most importantly the memories I made with my husband, my son, my dad and my uncle. You guys have no idea how meaningful it was to return to my motherland like this.’
Kat married Rafael in February, 2018. She gave birth to their son that November.
She was also previously married to fellow tattoo artist Oliver Peck in 2003. They separated in August 2007, and finalized their divorce later that year.
The star was also previously engaged to Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband Jesse James and musician Deadmau5.
Last month Kat posed for a shock new photoshoot revealing her all-black tattoo cover-up.
The star – who first revealed in October that she would be covering up all of her colorful tattoos with solid black ink – opened up about her decision while talking to Inked Magazine.

She also posed for a stunning shoot showing off her blacked-out arms and back.
‘I think I had been fed up with a lot of the tattoos I got over the years for a long time,’ Kat confessed to the outlet before noting that she reached out to an artist – Hoode – who specializes in blackout tattooing to get the ball rolling.
‘I just couldn’t explain how satisfying it was to see all the messes he would clean up with his blackout tattoo work,’ the LA Ink alum recalled. ‘I think at that time I thought I would just black out an arm, but shortly after, I knew I would end up tattooing my whole body.’
This past fall, Kat posted a video of the blackout process to her Instagram feed, explaining that it took 17 sessions and almost 40 hours of work to become ‘about 80% done with blacking out my body.’
