Court documents obtained by the Daily Mail on Tuesday outline allegations brought by an unidentified plaintiff - known as John Doe - who is suing for battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress stemming from an April 16, 2024 incident at the.
The filing claims West approached the plaintiff in the garden dining area shortly before 11 p.m. and suddenly struck him in the face, leaving him unconscious after he fell and hit his head.
It is further alleged that West then continued the assault while the man was on the ground, repeatedly punching him as he lay unconscious and sustaining serious injuries.
The plaintiff says in the complaint that he did not provoke the incident in any way and did not consent to any physical contact during the encounter.
The Daily Mail has reached out to West’s representatives and the plaintiff’s attorney for comment.

In the complaint, the plaintiff claims West later alleged that the plaintiff had acted inappropriately toward a woman attending his party, and he went on to reiterate those accusations during a public podcast appearance.
'Defendant repeated and embellished these lies during a widely viewed podcast appearance, again falsely alleging that Plaintiff had engaged in inappropriate physical conduct toward a woman in Defendant’s party,' the document read.

He continued, 'She explained to me what happened so I walked over and found him… I talked to the guy like you just need to leave… and I’m like no it’s not ok, it wasn’t ok.'
West further added, 'Then he started… had to go to bed early - tucked this n**** in,' appearing to reference the alleged confrontation.
The lawsuit emerges at a time when West is also facing mounting international scrutiny, including possible restrictions in France following a series of antisemitic remarks.
The development comes shortly after he was barred from entering the United Kingdom, where he had been scheduled to perform at a now-cancelled music festival.

French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez is reportedly examining legal avenues that could prevent the rapper from appearing at a planned June show in Marseille, according to his office.
Local opposition has also been voiced by officials in the city, including Mayor Benoît Payan, who addressed the issue in a social media post.
'I refuse to let Marseille be a showcase for those who promote hatred and unapologetic Nazism,' Payan wrote on X on March 4.
'Kanye West is not welcome at the Vélodrome, our temple of living together and of all Marseillais'

Meanwhile in the UK, authorities had already moved to block West from entering the country ahead of his scheduled Wireless Festival headline slot in London this July.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer said West 'should never have been invited to perform' and restated the government’s commitment to tackling antisemitism.
Several sponsors, including Pepsi, also pulled their backing from the event.
West later said he would be willing to engage in discussions with members of the UK Jewish community, although the event itself was eventually scrapped.
