Kaia Gerber Reflects on Dating Older Men After Night Out

Kaia Gerber looked as chic as ever as she enjoyed a night out at the $400-per-person sushi hotspot Sushi Park on Wednesday evening with her friend, Jake Shane.

Just days after appearing on his podcast Therapuss with Jake Shane, the model, 24, reunited with the 25-year-old comedian, who has 3.8 million TikTok followers.

For the outing, Gerber showcased her minimalist style in a gray fitted crop top, matching midi skirt, and white heels. 

She completed her look with gold hoops and a bold blue Chanel bag, which added a pop of color to her neutral ensemble.

Their sighting comes shortly after Gerber’s candid appearance on Therapuss, during which she opened up about her love life. 

During the episode, the daughter of Cindy Crawford gushed about her relationship with actor Lewis Pullman and playfully poked fun at her past romances.

‘I really feel like if you have the opportunity to date a friend, do it — because it just is so much better,’ she advised Shane.

Although she rarely discusses her love life, the Vogue cover girl admitted in the past she would ‘completely just change my personality’ and ‘values’ for a partner.   

‘I always dated people that were older than me, so I was very willing to give up everything. I was like: ‘I can show you I love you by completely giving up my life for you,’ which is actually not how you build respect and trust, and is not good in the long run,’ she explained. 

Kaia then gushed over Lewis, saying: ‘I was literally talking about this the other day with Lew, where we were like: ‘The amazing thing about you is the person that ends up loving you is gonna be so obsessed with you, because you are such a specific person, that they’re just gonna like die for you, and die for every single part of you.” 

Kaia elaborated: ‘Like I never wanna fight with my friends. I never wanna be mad at my friends. I respect my friends. It just is like a whole other thing and I think sometimes you forget that you like someone when you love them.’

Her tip is to ‘date someone that you would be friends with anyways. Don’t date someone just ’cause you’re sexually attracted to them and are in lust with them.’

The Palm Royale actress playfully added: ‘You should sleep with those people for sure, but you don’t need to make them your partners.’

Gerber and Pullman were first spotted together in January as they cozied up at his birthday dinner at Salazar restaurant in Los Angeles. 

It came weeks after sources told TMZ that Kaia and ex-boyfriend Austin Butler had split after three years of dating.

The Palm Royale star intentionally kept the start of her latest romance out of the public eye, according to an Us Weekly report. 

‘They started dating in early December [2024]. They kept it under wraps until the news of her and Austin’s split came out. Kaia and Austin have been broken up since October.

‘In early December, Kaia and Lewis started seriously hanging out and were seen all around LA, but mostly on the east side,’ an insider revealed.

In regards to how the new lovebirds were able to keep their relationship hidden, the source said that the actress ‘would make sure to be in a hat’ or disguise herself in other ways to go to ‘their favorite restaurants, bars and clubs.’

And when together, the pair would be ‘holding hands and showing PDA,’ with the source adding, ‘They were just frequenting crowds that didn’t really know them.’

Kaia and Lewis have ‘known each other for a while now. They run in the same circle and have similar friend groups, and that’s how they were introduced. Kaia likes that this relationship feels low-pressure and that Lewis is a very low-key guy.’ 

Before her ties to Lewis and Butler, Gerber was briefly linked to Priscilla star Jacob Elordi and SNL alum Pete Davidson.
