An alleged stalker has been ordered to maintain a one hundred yard distance from Kaia Gerber and her supermodel mother Cindy Crawford after they were granted long-term restraining orders.
Gerber and Crawford both received a temporary restraining order against Daniel Lee Schoonover, a 35-year-old man they allege has appeared at their whereabouts and threatened their lives, according to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail.
In a bizarre twist, Schoonover allegedly asked Gerber to participate in a seance after turning up at a theatre in Williamstown, Massachusetts, where she was performing onstage in White Girls Gang.
Months later, he was seen outside her mother’s home in southern California, where security camera footage captured him dressed in black clothing.
At a hearing in Los Angeles on Friday, Schoonover was ordered to stay at least one hundred yards away from their homes, workplaces and vehicles, reports TMZ.
Additionally, he was ordered to hand over a firearm registered in his name within 24 hours of the restraining order being granted.

Crawford, who suffered another alleged stalker incident in 2022, claims he rang the doorbell and asked if Gerber resided at the home, to which Crawford responded no.
Gerber served Schoonover with an emergency protective order after she learned it was the same man at her theatre festival.
But the alleged harassment is said to have persisted on social media, where he left comments that the documents described as ‘threatening, sexually graphic and extremely concerning.’
‘I am very troubled by this situation and it has caused me severe emotional distress,’ Crawford wrote in her petition.
‘I do not know how Schoonover learned of my address. I am even more disturbed that Schoonover has threatened to murder me and my husband, particularly 1762770065 that he knows where I live.’
‘I fear for my daughter’s safety and I fear for my safety as well. Schoonover is physically imposing and is clearly persistent in his attempts to contact Kaia.’
In the documents, Gerber said that, ‘as a result of Schoonover’s stalking and threats, I have suffered, and continue to suffer, severe emotional distress and anxiety’ as a result of Schoonover, and is ‘even more terrified’ after seeing his social media postings and knowing he attempted to find her home.
Both of the requests for protection were granted by the court. Crawford’s husband Rande Gerber has also been granted protection after his wife asked that he be protected in her request as Schoonover also allegedly threatened to kill him as well.

Gerber has followed in her mother’s modelling footsteps, but has also spread her wings by pursuing acting.
Last year, she spoke highly of Crawford as she reflected on how working together over the years has taken their relationship to a new level.
‘I do feel like we’ve established a really strong bond and friendship outside of just a mother-daughter dynamic, which has been so fun for me over the last few years,’ Gerber told People.
Crawford agreed, adding: ‘We went to Burning Man together.’
