Kacey Musgraves slammed a fan who had grabbed her during a concert stop in Tampa on Friday.
The Butterflies songstress, 36 – who recently made a generous donation to her Texas hometown – addressed the incident while on stage in Hollywood, Florida amidst her Deeper Well World Tour on Saturday.
In a now-viral TikTok clip, an audience member had filmed the moment when the country star had strolled amongst the crowd in Tampa when a fan suddenly grabbed hold of her.
Kacey was stopped in her tracks and quickly turned to mouth, ‘What the f***?’ towards the fan before heading back towards the stage.
While at Hard Rock Live on Saturday, Musgraves broke her silence in a separate reel shared to TikTok and said, ‘Last night – this Tampa b***h…’
The audience began to boo in reference to the incident, prompting the star to add, ‘I know. She kind of ruined it. She kind of ruined it for everybody.’

The Grammy winner added, ‘Getting to express yourself in such a big way, and the energy exchange between me and this crowd – I feel very fortunate to be able to do that.’
During the course of the Deeper Well tour, artists including Madi Diaz, Lord Huron, Nickel Creek and Father John Misty were the opening acts.
While talking to Variety earlier this year in March, Musgraves also discussed the shows and how she wanted each concert to feel like a ‘mini-festival.’
‘I wanted to create a musical moment that felt like a little mini-festival that I personally would want to go to. I’m such a fan of all these musicians for different reasons, but I think they’re all authentically themselves and have created worlds that look and sound so beautiful.’
She added, ‘Nickel Creek, I’ve been a fan of since I was maybe 12 or 13 years old, so they’ve been a part of my life for a long time and I’ve always admired them.’
‘And I mean, Lord Huron, just their vibe, it’s one of my favorites, and I’ve been a fan of Father John for a really long time too.’
The award-winning songstress continued, ‘So, I think each act brings something really different, but I think that there’s like a nice bridge between them all, you know?’

During an interview with People, she reflected on the song and expressed, ‘Ultimately, the song sums up where I’m at in my mid-30s and really evaluating what love means to me.’
‘What friendships mean to me, what are the things that I need, what is really serving me and not serving me. It’s [about] taking stock and making room for the things that actually do really matter.’
‘This life is so short. I think that you have to be a little bit ruthless in removing obstacles for growth.’
Musgraves added to the outlet, ‘That could mean adjusting your expectations with family members. That could be putting a pause on a friendship.’

‘It could be a breakup or dropping a habit that just doesn’t serve you well anymore. It’s being awake enough to be tuned in to paying attention to what the flow of nature is trying to tell you about what you need.’
