Fans are convinced that Justin Timberlake’s highly-awaited, sixth album, will be called Everything I Thought It Was, based on his trademark history. 

In legal documents, obtained by TMZ on Friday, the 42-year-old pop star filed for the exact phrase as well as ‘Everything I Thought It Was … A Sonic film.’

The trademark application for ‘EITIW’ was filed by an entity called TBTHC LLC and signed by C. Brandon Browning, who is the same attorney that filed the trademarks for his 2018 Man of the Woods album.

Further fueling theories that the performer was preparing to enter a new musical era, the 10-time Grammy winner shared a video of himself replying to a fan asking about ‘new music’ by uploading footage of him silently counting to the number six on his fingers on TikTok.

On January 8, he removed all of his photos and videos from his Instagram page.

After wiping the slate clean, the father-of-two, who is married to Jessica Biel, teased he would be performing ‘for one night only in Memphis’ (his hometown) at the Orpheum Theatre.

He has continued to tease his musical comeback by posting an upside-down ‘missing poster’ asking fans, ‘HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN?’ 

The flier described his eyes as ‘Precision’ and his hair as ‘Depends’ while his height was listed as ‘Feel like 10′ tall’ and weight as ‘Up.’

Timberlake’s slideshow included a a power bank with the letters ‘EITIW’ on it as well as photos of him in various different looks. 

The Friends with Benefits star was last seen in IG mid-December, when he and wife Jessica Biel attended the opening of the brand new $3.7 billion Las Vegas hotel, The Fountainbleu. 

His wife posted snaps of their looks, which she captioned, ‘On our suit and tie s**t,’ referencing her husband’s 2013 song Suit & Tie.

Timberlake’s accounts on Twitter and Threads both remain active, though both are used quite sparingly.

His last Twitter post was a November 2023 retweet of a BTS fan account promoting the group’s single with Timberlake.

Before that, his last post was in late September, sharing a video of behind-the-scenes footage of N’SYNC as they celebrated their first song together in 23 years.

The Instagram cleanse comes just months after the release of his ex Britney Spears’ book The Woman In Me.

Spears opened up about her relationship with Timberlake, which spanned from 1999 to 2002, revealing she had an abortion after Timberlake had gotten her pregnant.

‘It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy, Spears said in the fast-selling book. ‘I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.

An insider told People that in spite of the details of their relationship going public, Timberlake is in ‘such a great place’ as he’s ‘happy at home with Jess and their kids and he’s focusing on new music.’

Earlier this month, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Timberlake and Biel have ‘been focusing on their relationship and family as always.’

The source added: ‘It has been somewhat upsetting to have past instances be brought back up into the public eye, but they are making sure to be there for each other and continuing to move forward.’
