Justin Timberlake Battles to Block Arrest Footage Release

 is fighting to keep body camera footage from his infamous 'ruin the tour' moment during his June 2024 DWI arrest from being released publicly.

In an embarrassing moment for the singer during the arrest nearly two years ago, he was allegedly seen on bodycam telling the police officer, who did not know who he was, that the arrest 'would ruin the world tour,' but that footage has yet to be seen publicly. 

The 45-year-old former boyband member  - whoPharrell Williams - has now filed a complaint in Suffolk County on Monday.

Timberlake claims that the release of the footage would be 'an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy' according to court documents obtained by the New York Post. 

The document read: 'Public dissemination of this footage would cause severe and irreparable harm to [Timberlake’s] personal and professional reputation, subject [Timberlake] to public ridicule and harassment, and serve no legitimate public interest.'

He agreed to plead guilty to driving while impaired which was a lesser offense that carried a penalty of a $500 fine with a $260 surcharge, 25 hours of community service, and required him to make a public safety announcement.

As Timberlake refused to take a breathalyzer at the time of arrest, it automatically triggered a suspension of his driver's license under New York state law.

The difference in how they were treated has lead to backlash from the public who felt Jackson had been unfairly treated, prompting Timberlake to  to both Spears and Jackson.

He stated that he was 'deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right.'

The Cry Me A River hitmaker added that he understood that he 'fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.'

When Timberlake was , it was previously revealed how his wife had pushed him to look for answers.

He initially thought the exhaustion and pain he had been experiencing were part of getting older and the demands of his two-year Forget Tomorrow World Tour.

A source told People magazine: ‘He's not 20 anymore. But when his symptoms worsened, he realized something deeper was going on.

'He pushed through for months before finally getting answers. The Lyme disease diagnosis brought clarity to a series of unexplained issues that he's been quietly dealing with.'
