Julianne Moore took to Instagram on Saturday to mark her 22nd wedding anniversary with husband Bart Freundlich.
The 64-year-old May December star — who recently shared a makeup-free selfie — expressed regret over her wedding dress as she posted a rare photo from the big day.
When she married Bart in 2003 she eschewed a traditional white dress in favor of a lavender frock.
Reflecting on the decision, she wrote in the caption: ‘Happy anniversary baby. 22 years later and I still don’t know why the theme was purple [purple heart emoji].’
Two images from a newspaper showed the husband and wife with their two kids on their wedding day.
Julianne held their now-23-year-old daughter Liv on her hip in one photo, while Bart held their now-27-year-old son Caleb’s hand in another.

It comes after the silver screen siren shared snapshots from her summer earlier this month, writing ‘August’ as the caption.
One photo showed a beaming Julianne sans makeup, giving fans a glimpse at her life behind the glitz and glamour.
Her dog Hope celebrated turning one year older and the Hollywood star included a slide dedicated to the adorable pup.
She and her husband adopted the lab mix in 2020 from Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue.
And days before that she posted memories from a family trip, captioning that she was in ‘Italy with my besties.’
Her husband posed alongside their children in one picture, with golden hour streaks of sun falling over them.
Last week the mother-of-two stunned in a photo spread featured in noisé magazine, described as ‘a nexus of art and fashion with a human touch.’
In an excerpt from the publication’s latest issue, she was quoted saying about the art of imagery, ‘I always assumed that because I’m an actor, my connection to the world was primarily through words, through language.
But then I started to notice that everything I remembered, I recalled in frames, almost like stills from a film.’

In June the actress appeared in the Apple TV thriller/drama alongside Sydney Sweeney.

Directed by Michael Pearce, the film also features Fiona Shaw, who is best known for her previous role as Harry Potter’s Aunt Petunia.
