Julia Garner is set to take a step into the horror genre by starring in the upcoming Blumhouse and Universal horror flick titled, Wolf Man.
The Ozark alum, 29 – who recently enjoyed a rare outing with husband Mark Foster – will also join Christopher Abbott on the project, per Deadline.
The New York-born actress and the Poor Things actor previously worked together on Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011).
The film – which is slated to hit theaters on October 25, 2024 just in time for Halloween – follows the premise of Garner’s character as a mother ‘whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.’
Filmmaker Leigh Whannell is slated to direct Wolf Man, and is known for other projects such as The Invisible Man (2020) and Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015).

Blumhouse founder, Jason Blum, will be producing and Ryan Gosling – who was originally set to star in the movie – is one of the executive producers.
The character of the Wolf Man has been shown to audiences in the past, such as The Wolf Man (1941) – which starred Claude Rains, Warren William and also Ralph Bellamy.
In 2010, a remake of the 1941 version was also released, and included a star-studded cast, such as Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins and Hugo Weaving.
Julia is known for her role in the Netflix series, Ozark, and her performance as Ruth Langmore garnered her three Emmy Awards as well as one Golden Globe.
She also took on roles in other projects, such as The Americans and also Netflix’s Inventing Anna, which earned her Best Actress nominations for both an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
Garner recently opened up to Harper’s Bazaar and discussed how she stays grounded and centered while being in the spotlight.
‘For me, the most important thing is surrounding myself with good people. You want to be around people that bring out the best in you.’
The actress added, ‘I’m very lucky – I have a great family, great friends, a great husband, but even if I’m meeting new friends, I always want to surround myself with grounded and healthy people.’

Although details on the movie have mainly been kept under wraps, the project from Paramount Pictures is set to be a prequel to the 1968 classic, Rosemary’s Baby.
Garner has been keeping busy and recently starred in The Royal Hotel, an Australian thriller directed by Kitty Green that was officially released late last year.
Aside from Julia, other stars that appeared in the movie included Hugo Weaving, Jessica Henwick and also Toby Wallace.
The premise follows, ‘Backpackers Hanna and Liv take a job in a remote Australian pub for some extra cash and are confronted with a bunch of unruly locals and a situation that rapidly leaps out of their control,’ per IMDB.
