Jude Law has revealed he’s ‘moved on’ from the time in his life when he was engaged to Sienna Miller, as he posed for a suave new shoot with VARIETY.
The actor, 51, told the publication ‘that time in his life is now over,’ after his relationship was the centre of huge public attention.
Jude and Sienna split in 2006 after his affair with his children’s nanny Daisy Wright came to public knowledge in 2005, and the actress said in 2020 that she found the scandal ‘really hard’.
Speaking about the time he and Sienna were engaged, Jude said: ‘That time is now over, and I’ve moved on from it. And so has, fortunately, the attention of the photographers and the prying eyes on me.
‘But I’ve had to learn to live in a certain way that keeps them at bay. And I have to handle my kids’ and my partner’s privacy in the same way.’

Sienna and Jude first met on the set of their film Alfie, and the pair got engaged on Christmas Day in 2004 after nearly a year of dating.
She broke off the engagement following news of his affair, with the pair separating in November 2006 after failing to salvage their relationship.
They reconnected in late 2009 when both starred on Broadway, with Sienna even spending Christmas with Jude and three of his children in Barbados, but they broke up once again in February 2011.
Before meeting Sienna, Jude was married to Sadie Frost -with whom he shares three of his children son Rafferty, 24, Iris, 20, and Rudy, 18- but they got a divorce in 2003, after six years of marriage.
Jude is now married to psychologist Phillipa Coan, 32, who he was first spotted with at the Hay literary festival in 2015.
The couple got married at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London in 2019, before partying in Mayfair – three months after the actor announced their engagement. They have two children together.
The actor also has a daughter Sophia, 15, with model Samantha Burke and Ada, nine, with musician Catherine Harding.
Jude also discussed his role in the ucpoming film Eden, sharing that he shot a full-frontal nude scene for the first time.

The film focuses on a group of settlers in the Galápagos who want extreme privacy, and so spend much of their time together naked.

Jude also spoke about his role in the upcoming Disney+ series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, where he plays an adult presiding over a troupe of four children who embark on their own intergalactic journey.
The star, who only agreed to take the role after several long meetings with creator John Watts, said that he found it ‘really interesting’ seeing the technical insight into how a vast Star Wars project was made.
He said: ‘It was a really interesting process. It’s technically complicated to get those things right—you’re dealing with animatronics and puppets and machines and huge, complicated worlds.
‘I’m the guy that wants to see how the wizard does it…It all has to go through the ‘Star Wars’ filter. Like, there are no buttons in ‘Star Wars’ – only ties. Buckles? Yes. Velcro? Yes. Although, I don’t think you ever see the Velcro… There are certain shots they don’t allow you to do if you’re the director.
‘You can’t pass through the glass of the spaceship; you have to stay on the outside or inside. I love that. You see the shot and go, ‘Oh, I’m in ”Star Wars.”
Jude is also set to star in the upcoming action film The Order, which will be released on Prime Video in December.

Jude’s performance as the agent who goes up against real-life white supremacist group The Order, received a seven-minute standing ovation at the Festival.
He said of his character: ‘There was a sort of lived-in quality to him that I enjoyed.
‘There was a lot of discussion about facial hair, but every agent I interviewed had a moustache, so it was just a given that I had to grow one.’
Also starring are Alison Oliver, Tye Sheridan, Jurnee Smollett, and Nicholas Hoult.
Nicholas plays The Order leader Bob Mathews, an American neo-Nazi who led the white supremacist group in 1983.
Nicholas revealed that the film’s director Justin Kurzel gave each actor a ‘manifesto’ for their character, including tasks for them to complete.
‘I just found out on the boat here – one of Jude’s tasks was to follow me for a day!’ he said.
‘He was trailing me for a day when I landed in Calgary.’
At The Order’s Venice Film Festival press conference, Jude spoke about the importance of the film at a time when far-right ideologies are rising again.
‘Sadly, the relevance speaks for itself,’ he said. ‘It felt like a piece of work that needed to be made now. It’s always interesting finding a piece from the past that has some relevant relationship to the present day.”
Director Justin agreed with Law, adding that the film’s parallels with today’s world were what made it so interesting to make.
It’s always an extraordinary thing when you find a piece of writing or event from the past that has some sort of perspective that can have a conversation with today’s politics. That’s a rare gem. So, we felt that there was a lot that was being said about today.
